You took your OH to tesco and came out having spent less than £100?!?!?
I bow down to you :rotfl:
I "nipped" in tesco for 3 things (coriander, lamb and stock) I spent £75 :o

Elle - I watched it and thought how random that it was on!

Yup - he knows we're on a budget so he's been very good. I know I culd have reduced that £50 (minus £13 for his CD) even more but I NEEDED scones, rich tea buscuits and stuff :)

Well it's morning and we have SNOW! I also have a cracking sore throat and feel bunged up - tried blowing my nose and gave myself a nosebleed... joy!
Glad we went to Tesco last night now! Wonder if my butchers are going to open today - they are all local in the village so might open up I guess... if not we're down to some freezer clearing to include meat in the menu for the next few days :)

MrsT Drink lots of fluids - honey and lemon is great for a sore throat and one of the few things us pg ladies are allowed. Wrap up warm, don't even think about going to/doing any work and look after yourself - that's an order!!!!!

Morning everyone else  everyday I wake up I feel like I have the man who does the voice over for Big Brother saying 'Day 12 in the overdue house'.

thanks for all the laour vibes last night - lets try again for today :D

Snow here too, so I'm off work for the day, and DS and DSD are off too. The Wii's out already! At least this time I can sit at the window and watch the snow instead of trying to drive to work in it!

Did all my ironing last night so that just leaves hoovering the stairs - pah, it can wait.

We have a snow day... Ideally I'd still be in bed but hubby woke me up an hour early by fidgetting round the bed and depriving me of quilt... Then spent an hour moaning about having to go to work when we're having a day off... He's gone to town to see how the going is, if it's bad he's just going to turn around and come home... I don't think so though, there seems less snow than there was Tuesday to me...

My aunt found out yesterday she has breast cancer, she's booked in for a mastectomy next wednesday... I'm a bit devastated really, she's not just my aunt, she's my best friend, I don't want her to have to go through this... Plus she has a 9yo and a 4yo and those little boys need a Mummy!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Krystal - lots of healing thoughts to your aunt! My uncles wife is on borrowed time - her brain tumor has returned and despite chemo it's not reacting. They are going away with their kids for a couple of days in a weeks time... we're talking months now rather than end of the year - like my family hasn't had enough deaths in the last 12 months :( She's got 2 kids too both under 14 and obviously my uncle is devastated too...
Thankfully they live close to my mum so they've got her to support them and help them out but the threat of cancer is always destructive. All I can say is be there for her regardless and always be optimistic. Take your lead from her - if she wants to be very optimistic then you be too, if she's realistic then don't over do the optimism - it will irritate her :)

  • Does anyone think that rmac is Chris Evans' wife? She is heavily overdue too! :rotfl:

Dunno how you guys can stop up so late chatting - am pooped come 10pm!
Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T
  • R Mac I felt sure you would have started with that baby last night but maybe it will be today seeing as how there is going to be lots of snow heading your way, baby is bound to come at the most inconvenient time, and the snow is on its way up, I'm in Leeds and it started about an hour ago.

On the subject of snow its been really bad all week here, and its snowing again today but Millie hasn't had a snow day, everyday she has got up and said do I have to go to school today? (looking longingly out of the window) but her school is the only one round here that hasn't closed, think she's feeling a bit left out, I'm glad though, last time she had a snow day in early december I joined in the fun but I'm not so keen (or mobile) this time.

Krystal sorry to hear about your aunt, we've had some rubbish news on here in the last few days haven't we? Lets hope we hear something lovely (from caz or Rmac) to cheer us all up!
