Oh fcksticks!
Just had a message from a friends husband - she is due the same date as me. (so she's 26+4) She went to hospital Monday night with bleeding - her cervix is 2cm open and they don't know whether she will be able to carry full term. She's still in hospital now and if things don't improve, she will have to stay there until she has the baby
Try not to worry , as you know I had my baby a fortnight ago @ 28+1 and he is doing fantastically . In the Intensive Care Unit where Thomas was there are 2 24 weekers , 1 25 weeker , 3 26 weekers , 2 27 weekers and 1 28 weeker (Thomas) and all are doing well . The 24 weekers weighed 1lb 2ozs & 1lb 4ozs .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .
Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

Got the results of my blood tests back last night and thankfully I am naturally immune so all is well.
Had a bit of a scare as I started to spot yesterday afternoon, so it was actually a bit of a relief that the doctor phoned and was able to talk to him about that too. He advised that I take things very easily, and try not to worry too much as spotting in pregnancy is really common, which I know really as it happened to me throughout my second pregnancy but as others have said you still worry. It has stopped now though, and I haven't had any pain other than the usual stretching type ones, so I'm just going to have a really lazy day today, as I think I did physically over-exert myself yesterday and the day before, both by having to pick my 7 year old daughter up a couple of times and by walking 4 miles (to school and back twice) through the heavy snow as I was too chicken to drive on icy roads. I also feel (though this is probably mad) that squeezing myself into trousers which are now really too tight even with the button undone hasn't helped so am going to succumb to the lure of baggy trackies and maternity clothes even though it is really far too early for that! And will be keeping my fingers crossed and my breath held until the scan next Tuesday just in case.0 -
nicki positive thoughts for you x

Don't ask me why but it just struck me that Roo is now "viable" (actually hate that word) - so in theory I could have her now and she'd stand every chance of surviving... I have NO idea why that has suddenly hit home at 25+4 but it's almost like she's here now, just too comfy to come out till she's bigger... weeeeeeeird!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Morning peeps.
What a morning I have had, My nan has just took a fall at home and been taken to hospital, my mum lives with her and i was on the phone to my mum when she fell, i rushed round there and she's busted all her face, she's gone downhill so much recently i worry about her terribbly, I'm very close to my nan, always have been, so i;ve been in floods of tears for the last hour.
Plus I am just feeling so crud in myself, my neighbour told me to phone the midwifes as she reckons i look and sound comlpetely drained and not myself, but I think i'm just tired, although i'm in bed before 9pm these days.
I just have no energy, maybe i'm annimic(sp?) I dunno, i know i'm not right but i'm seeing MW on Tuesday anway.
Also I have a feeling bubs is not breech, but lying accross me, but then again what do I know:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
At the moment, I'm freaked out by the fact that one day this baby will be taller than me, and he'll have a beard! I'm sort of getting used to the idea of having a baby, but then he'll be a boy, then a teen, then a man! Scary!
Hugs to all those who need them, hope all the various family members feel better soon.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Morning all.
Rmac - i really, really thought you weren't going to be here today! It must be so warm and comfy in your tummy.
Woke up to two texts this morning - one from Mum, her friends daughter had a little boy last night (due Monday too!), and one from lmy little Sister, her friend had a little boy early hours today (due Sunday). Its not fair - i want mine NOW!
TMI ALERT - i convinced OH into a bit of the jiggly-dance last night, all very plesant but nothing happened. She's obviously not ready yet!
FEELIE - my baby boy is nearly 12! He's about 4" off my height already, wears size 5 shoes like me - and i'm absolutely dreading the facial hair and other boy things that are going to happen to him in the next couple of years.
AM - love to your nan, bless her! When are you next due to have bloods taken? Could be a bit of anemia. I had it last time with DD but the lovely iron tablets solved it. Been ok this time (fingers crossed).
Hugs to everyone else who needs them for themselves and families.
I should really go and clean something now - might start with the kids rooms - I may be some time  .:beer:0
