r mac - sending labour vibes your way!

AM - the physio here recommended the OT come out to our house. They're going to go through and get us sorted with anything that will help alleviate hip/back pain. She mentioned things like a perch type stool for the kitchen so I can stand for a bit longer to do washing up or cooking. She also suggested a elevated seat for the toilet, but we already have one (plus a spare walking cane) in the downstairs toilet as FIL has a bad hip, so we keep it ready for when he is visiting. I'm not going to use that unless I have to though. The perch stool sounds intriguing. I hate that after 5-10 minutes of standing while washing up, my hip and back are already locking up and very painful. I understand your frustration - hope they can get something sorted for you for some relief!

Hi all.. Right, I haven't taken notes, but this is what I can remember!

DJ - please come back. I'm sorry to hear about your weekend - glad everything is okay now. Like some of the others, I don't tend to comment much when we have bad news - like feelie and AF, I'm afraid of saying the wrong thing, and I've also had a m/c not all that long ago really and any mention of bleeding makes me a bit edgy  When I last saw my midwife, she said she'll do my MatB1 at my 25wk appointment and can't do it before 20wks anyway.

AF - my Mum bought us a nursery rhymes CD for Christmas!! She said I need to get the practise in.. :(

My boss is acting very strange - she keeps asking if I'm okay  I'm a lot better now than I have been for weeks and everyone is saying I look it, but she keeps asking. I'm not sure if she thinks something is wrong and is trying to let me know she's there if I want her but there isn't anything wrong and, besides, she is the last person I would talk to! :o

I think I've had my warning about doing more around the house.. OH has been calling me Stig all day - including shouting it down the corridor at work earlier! :o Think I'd best have a tidy up and offer to cook tea tonight! :(

I'm sure I had something else to say.. Will go back and have a look!

    ETA:
Oh yes.. labour vibes for r.mac and 3onitsway :D

And, Sami, I take it no news from Caz/Les? :(

FIL is back in hospital, and is 'in a world of his own'. No visitors recommended, and he is completely pyschotic. He'll be in there for a good while according to MIL. :(

Manic depression. Hopefully this is just temporary thing and he'll be back on his feet soon. Sad thing is, he had another grandchild born a couple of weeks ago, don't know if he is even aware of that :(

dj - sorry I missed your post too, it must have been very worrying for you. I went into hospital with bleeding with d2 at 37wks...went in on the Friday, had to stay all weekend, Had a scan on Monday and got discharged monday early eve, by which time I was getting tummy pains...silly midwives didn't believe me till one finally agreed to 'check' me (was almost leaving hospital) I was 8cm dilated had ds about an hour later!!!!!
Glad everything was ok for you and baby:) The Matb1 form you can get from either the doctor or the midwife:)

r.mac - Hope things are moving for you now, look forward to hearing from you in a few days with good news;)

Tine - you can use glycerin lemon and honey syrup to help ease your cough, until you get into the doctors.

Feeling - Sorry to hear your FIL is back in hospital, at least he is the best place to get the help he needs. Hopefully he will recover quickly.

There, I think that is everyone:) Got to go make supper for the boys, they are watching Tom and Jerry in their bedroom and saying they are hungry, even though they had masses of spaghetti bolognese for dinner, ds1 (8) had the same amount as me, it was a mountain and he ate every bit...I am stuffed yet he wants toast...the boy must have hollow legs!!!
