I'm not sure that follows. PCOS causes problems conceiving (sometimes) but I'm not aware it makes you more likely to miscarry. If she's conceived 4 times spontaneousy though obviously her PCOS isn't so bad as to stop her ovulating. She'll probably need some investigations as to why she has recurrent miscarriages though. I thought you were offered this after 3 on the NHS but maybe it varies from place to place.

I have PCOS and find it hard to conceive as a result, but even so I have 2 atm and one on the way (1 with the help of fertility drugs and 2 spontaneously), and I think I've read that there are a few more of us on this thread who also have it.

If she does get back to you, whilst obviously being sympathetic for what's happened, I'd steer clear of suggesting that she'll never have a child of her own, even if that's what she's saying herself at the moment, as there's always hope.
I'm only saying it on here! OBVIOUSLY I wouldn;t say it to her. And the doctors have told her they won;t investigate or help, which surprised me as I thought the same as you.

She has been trying for years - the ovulation is very sporadic. I'm just being supportive and there for her as I know how badly she wants a baby and I just wish I could make it happen for her somehow.

hi

ive had the most horrific weekend. woke up in a pool of blood and went to a and e. spent 5 hours there. couldnt give me a scan as it was the weekend (!!!) so had to wait till monday. all weekend i was in tears, expecting the worst. baby IS ok though.

I am still bleeding on and off at 11 weeks. I am on bed rest (ha! I have a 1 year old how do you think that is going....) and have now been off for 4 weeks and I think work are getting a bit cross. I can't do anything though as I am not willing to put baby at risk. I do feel your pain as any bleeding is horrifying and so so scary. Fact is though lots of women bleed through pregnancy - I just wish it made me feel better to know that. For the record it doesn't!! Some of mine has been brown lumps which is horrible but I have had 2 scans and baby is fine. Next scan is next week at 12 weeks. I just wanted you to know you aren't the only one going through stuff and that I do understand how awful it is. I hope everything has settled down for you now though and you ahve a healthy remainder of your pregnancy.

I have about 11 pages to catch up on so I will try my best and come back. In the meantime I am sending out labour vibes for those of you who need them.

Oh and I did the labour predictor and apparently:
Just about the time you think you can't handle hearing one more "when is that baby going to pop?", your baby will decide to make it's appearance. We predict your baby will be born 3-7 days before its due date. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning. Justmommies predicts that your baby will weigh approximately 7.2 pounds and that your labor will be about 12 hours long

Well last time my waters broke 5 days before my due date - then NOTHING!! I sat around for 2 days twiddling my thumbs then had to be induced in the end. Baby was eventually born 2 days before due date so who knows!! HE weight 7.7lb and I thought they got heavier??

Scan went fine, baby is defo head down (what a relief), just a waiting game now.but mw said if it was breech there was a chance I could of been allowed to deliver baby normally, as it wasn't my 1st.

AM - have you seen the physio about the SPD or it is just to the stage where there's very little relief? The physio here was very helpful, even if they did put me on crutches. And there's an OT coming to the house to help out as well.
I can't beleive you get an OT! round here they are like an endangered species!!
 @ the NHS not you :D

Hey everyone  I had my booking appointment today, didn't much like the midwife but I go to the consultant next time PHEW!!. I got my free Huggies Newborn pack from ASDA worth £5 and the first Bounty pack which doesn't seem to contain much useful except the mini cream, fairy washing powder sample, and there are some money off at ASDA vouchers which we may or may not use as we don't generally shop there. The woman at the counter said something like, " your voucher is in there" but we didn't know what she was on about and the only voucher is the ASDA ones  weird!

Still we got some bedding from ASDA too for a decent price :D Wooooo!

I do feel a bit stupid every time you ladies mention your Bounty packs and freebies. The fear of baby things extends to free stuff too, and I never claimed my bounty pack!

I just woke up.. I seem to have gone back a few weeks in the tiredness stakes!

catz747, the lady would have been referring to the £5 off when you spend £15 on Baby products voucher - it's an extra perk of picking the bag up from Asda amd not Boots cos you don't get one in the Boots version. I got one in August last year which runs out at the end of March this year which I thought was a decent time. Still got to pick mine up from this pack of leaflets though so don't know if they all have as long on them.
