Am just about to get the painters in so it'll have to wait til next month, but
Kim_ley let's do this....if you will, I will! :eek:0 -
Without being too graphic (well actually I can't say it without giving far too much information) I can't even use tampons because I can 'feel' them and they hurt. I can't see how I could possibly fit a mooncup in. Obviously I have sex but even that can hurt at times, the doctor has mentioned my 'smallness' when getting smears too.
I'm scared of mooncups. Very scared. (and also very pleased no-one here knows me:o)0 -
lol sparkle im in the same boat didn't want to say as like you say...TMI!
i'm only 22 and do wear tampons but i've had two kids and it has had no effect my doctor still says this!
(I once met a very big man... we were incompatible)
I definitely think that the one for people who have given birth will be too big as its about the same circumference as the average male lol sorry and whilst thats ok once in a whilei dont know how i feel about all the time?
BUT what the heck in for a penny in for a pound I currently spend way more than this in a year on tampons & towels so if it's right then I'll save a fortune!!! If not it's a risk i'm willing to take... i'll get the right size just hope it's not too big!?!
Ok joy lets take the mooncup challenge lol make sure you update your signature (haha).
BTW as you might of guessed i'm on atm so next month.I'm an MSE SLACKER!!!! Slap my bum.
Been a long time but i'm back.0 -
kim_ley - if you raise your concerns on the mooncup thread, Tittch will probably drop in and she'll be able to advise you, as I know that there are some brands that do a smaller size.
sparklewing - these are MUCH more comfortable than tampons, once you've got the hang of them0 -
i can see that it will be more comfortable than tampons as it wont absorb moisture... i hate tampons THE THINGS US WOMEN DO EH? i think that my first mooncup experience will take me back to my first period desperately trying to get the thing in right ha
i'll try and get hold of titch! but im going shopping tomorrow in another town and if they have it in the boots there i might just get it?I'm an MSE SLACKER!!!! Slap my bum.

Sorry lowering the tone again....back to the mooncup. It sit's in a different place to a tampon and when it is in properly you absolutely cannot feel it, unlike tampons IME. As it is hollow, and very flexible it doesn't feel as big as it looks. It takes a day or two to get used to, but you will never look back- if you'll remember to trim that stalk. Seriously trim the stalk. Can you tell that I didn't at first by any chance!0

Amazing what comes up on MSE sometimes;) - errr....perhaps I should rephrase that....:rotfl:0 -
Moving on from Girlie bits :-)
A great thread Folks.
You are inspirational!
I am going to try the switch to vegan after 15 years as a veggie.
I bought a kilo of TVP from my "pick and weigh" stylee store last weekend - but it comes without instructions.
Advice on how to rehydrate and cook it would be much appreciated.
Best wishes to all
Just found this on Vegetarian Society site so thought I would add it in case it helps someone else :-)
Beginners Guide
Don't forget to add water or stock to soya protein chunks or granules before you use them. If your packet of soya protein does not give instructions, follow these general rules:
soya protein mince or granules - using 1½ times its own weight in water or stock, soak the soya protein for 15 minutes or simmer for three minutes.
soya protein chunks - using 2½ times their weight in water, soak the chunks for an hour or simmer for 30 minutes.0 -
