With pancake day coming up if you wish to make them you might want to buy an egg replacer. Orgran No Egg costs £2.39 in most places (sometimes more) and replaces up to 66 eggs so around 4p per 'egg'. The egg replacer makes it easier to make pacakes as you just use the egg replacer instead of the eggs, soya milk or another plant milk instead of an animal milk and your usual flour with a pinch of salt. I find it costs less this way to make them than traditional ones as you aren't paying in the region of 10p-40p/egg depending on what kind you get.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0

Hi again, tomorrow is going to be my first properly vegan day. thought it might be nice to swap menus so people could get some new ideas for food etc. (plus I'm nosey and always love seeing what people are eating).
My plan for tomorrow is:
Smoothie (fresh orange, banana, frozen berries)
oatcakes with peanut butter
Avocado salad (avocado, spinach, lettuce, red pepper, chilli, beetroot, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar)
apple & almonds
Chickpea & spinach curry (chickpeas, tomatoes, lentils, spinach, aubergine, peas) & brown rice (made with pataks paste which I'm hoping is vegan but made it ages ago and froze it so not got the jar to check)
satsumas
Sunday will be:
smoothie (as above)
oatcakes & peanut butter
Avocado salad (as above)
Bean casserole( root veg, tomatoes, butter beans, haricot beans, aubergine, spinach) with bulgar wheat.
fruit for snacks again, almonds and dried fruit
(not bought yoghurts or milk yet so lacking in calcium but I'm sure one weekend won't matter too much). Going to go and buy the Seven Seas vegan supplement too.0 -
Has anyone got a recipe for vegan oatcakes - The Staffordshire kind - not the Scottish ones?

i know everyone is different but once i got used to it the mooncup was one of my best ever buys, i cant ever imagine going back to anything else. its got to be worth a try. i trust it 100 times more than i ever did tampons!- prior planning prevents poor performance!

The only difference to the product is that the provemel part of the company is 100% organic. On the other hand only a few products of alpro are organic. To my knowledge provemel are only sold in health food stores.- prior planning prevents poor performance!
