Nooch is about £6 a tub on Amazon, however you can buy a pack of six tubs for £16 (plus postage of £2.99) which makes them slightly over £3 each...
Also, I got a kilogram of hemp seeds for £12.99 (plus £2.99 postage) which was the best deal I could find on them - I store them in the fridge which keeps them fresh as this amount lasts me for sooooooo long! I use them in my hempasan:
4 tbsps nooch
4 tbsps hemp seeds
1/2 tsp salt
grind in pestle and mortar
use as parmesan or just on everything because it's yummy!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old Style, Crafting and Techie Stuff boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Just thought I'd post the link to a recipe I tried last night. DD19, who has to be seriously impressed to say anything said 'mum, this is amazing!'
I was looking for new ideas with beans and lentils, which we eat a lot of. Most recipes are Indian, and while my family love Indian food I was looking for something different.
All the ingredients are nutritious and inexpensive. I used frozen spinach added to the chickpeas a bit later rather than the fresh, to keep cost down. Don't omit the smoked paprika, it truly makes the the dish. I found the cheapest place to buy it in my area was Morrisons own brand.
I served it with couscous and a salad.

I stumbled across this recently:

Click on the pictures to find out more details - they all appear to be vegan as far as actual ingredients go, but some are more questionable in terms of company ethics, palm oil, etc etc.0 -

What are people's experiences of trying to eat vegan at mainstream chain restaurants?
There's lots of optimistic advice online about how much the chains have improved, and even when nothing vegan is specified all you have to do is ask for this without that, and so forth, and you'll end up with a marvellous vegan feast.
My own limited experiences have always been much less successful, almost invariably ending up with something that isn't vegan, simply because staff don't know what's vegan and what's not.
My general impression is you have to make quite a fuss about your order to ensure getting something vegan, which I don't enjoy doing.0
