    Hi!

I spotted this thread when I signed up to the February grocery challenge and thought I'd take a peek...

I can feel the warmth of this thread even though it's freezing! You're so supportive of each other, it's really made me smile despite having a 6.45am start at work for the fourth time this week, although I'm only in work until 10 today :j then I'm off to my singing lesson, which is just about the best part of my week.

I hope everybody has a lovely day, and to those who need one *huuuuuuuuug*

    Ladymay,
Welcome to the tred i hope that you like it here:j :j have fun and enjoy your day:j :j

RedRuby - I know TDs are an extravagance but, when DS2 was born, we were living in Norfolk (moved from there when he was five). It never stopped raining and the sun didn't come out often! I always used 'real' nappies and had the devil of a job getting them, and DH's work clothes, dry. I tend to use it nowadays just for drying towels and underwear, but have now worked out a system using airers upstairs. I shan't part with it but it is now almost redundant! I hope your exhaust lasts until you can get it fixed!

Kathy, I am sorry i feel bad now :o , I did not mean to make you feel bad about using your TD, I just meant that it is possible to get by without one, I am lucky in that I can put my washing on the airer in my conservatory, so please dont feel bad about using it :o .

The exhaust on my car did not last !!! it was hanging by a thread by the time I got to work, so had it fixed this morning £115  , but at least it has been done, and because of this site I paid for it out of the money I have been saving :money: .

Hockyduo, so sorry to hear your news, big hugs xx

    welcome lady may xx

    Morning peeps

Had an extra early start this morning as there are workmen digging the local park up so i had to take the houndies for a walk elsewhere, guess who`s all muddy  no one seems to know what work is being done so i shall try and find out.

Little oldie has had his tablet and had his wound bathed and it really does look a lot better, one of our doggy friends has had eleven puppies  sadly not all of them survived and mum is really poorly in the vets hospital so i hope that she will be ok, it`s all i can think about atm as she really is a lovely thing. The family really have their hands full bottle feeding the pups every hour or so but they are doing well. Mr Sunny went to see them yesterday whilst i was at w*rk.

I`ve just mixed some blueberries in with the hm yogurt that i made overnight and have some spicy potato wedges in the remoska atm - this is the first time that i`ve made them in the remmy so i hope that they turn out well, they smell gorgeous though :D both houndies are now snoozing peacefully so i shall hang up the washing on the radiator airers and sort the rest of the kitchen out. I was hoping to have an hour weeding in the garden before w*rk but it`s really cold and miserable out there so i shall give it a miss, very thick fog here again, last night coming home from w*rk was awful, i didn`t go faster than 25mph as the fog was so thick, really spooky  and it took me ages to get home.

Free - Great news about the IVF hope all goes well for you.

Coldstreamalways - Fantastic news about the house, take it easy and enjoy your time off.

Hockeyduo - So sad for your loss ((((HUGS))))

Ladymay - Welcome to the thread

Silvercharming - I went into work yesterday and one of the younger members of staff was saying goodbye to everyone, he told me he had recieved a phone call the night before and had been told that he was no longer needed, he hasn`t been there very long and is a really lovely lad who works hard and is good to be around. I could have cried for him he was so disappointed.

 I`ve just noticed the time, i need to get a move on, (((HUGS)))) for Diva & Tristran

    Have a good day peeps.

    Morning all,

Hugs to all who are in need or want, welcome to Ladymay, congratulations to all who are celebrating, special hugs to Hockeyduo.

Had a lie in this morning, need to bring in clothes from line before it rains...thanks for the warning turfy, will put clothes in machine on airers, they seem to dry quite quickly that way, but you can hardly get into the upstairs spare room for airers at present.

Aussie cousins on their way back to Brisbane to-morrow, via Copenhagen and Paris, will have soup, chicken and ham, roast potatoes, roast squash, cabbage for dinner, not sure about pudding, they are not great pudding people, so may just have cheese and biscuits. Made soup yesterday so that is one fiddly chore less to do to-day.

Luca not in great form to-day, not making his funny noises very much, have to get more food for him from vets to-day, forgot yesterday and there isn't enough left to feed him until to-morrow.

Had decided that there would be a big gardening burst of activity when the visitors had all taken off, now it seems as if we are going to get nasty weather, so will have to concentrate on getting seeds sown inside...I need a bigger porch and conservatory!

    Have a good day all

Candy - fingers all crossed here xx

Coldstream - fab news about the house, and a big garden, you'll be able to go for your morning run around it lol! Take care and keep resting xx

Kaatlady - lovely to see you back! x

Redruby - ouch! Did you enjoy sounding like a boy racer for a bit though!!

Well I've just had soup for lunch, but not from the freezer, I was tempted by a recipe posted by NannaC on another thread for cheese and onion soup! Oh my is it delicious! Will def be a regular around here from now on, have left some for the kids to have a taste later, half hoping they won't like it so I don't have to share! But deep down I know they're gonna really really like it!

Time to get on with more washing, going to stick the airer in the sitting room whilst everyone's at school, it's the warmest room other than the bedrooms, so everything should dry nice and quickly I hope.

Has anyone any airer recommendations, I've been looking at the heated one from Lakeland and also an extendable one in Argos - that can take a king sized duvet cover apparently!

RedRuby - I've pm'd you. I truly didn't take any offence at your post. I feel bad about the way mine came across, as though I had taken offence. I'm really sorry! Glad you got your exhaust fixed - at least it's done now.

Candygirl - fingers crossed for the baby. My SIL was told her baby was too small for dates - the little girl weighed in at 10lbs 2ozs! They don't always get it right.

Sunnyday - hope your friend's dog is OK. That was a huge litter.

I called in at the Co-op this morning; they're revamping the whole store to give a much bigger fresh meat section. Their meat, IMO, is second only to the butchers for quality, because they have their own farms and, as Hugh Thingummy Whatsit said the other day, they don't sell any unhappy chickens. I bought some YS Aberdeen steak mince today for tonight's spaghetti bolognese.

Well, my tummy's rumbling so I'm off for lunch.

    See you later.
