it certainly should NOT be, especially if you have used your crave - it is not possible for us to put an order through on an as new phone using crave.

if they had sent the phone as a goodwill gesture it could of been an as new phone

Rigth that's everything that i want from the phone sorted.

I used £40 of rewards towards the phone, they just agreed to pay the £20 as i'd had that much trouble with signal for a while.

well the above didn't work, still got emergency only calls

rang virgin again, and was told to take the battery out and put it back in with the phone switched on, and again that didn't work, still can't find virgin as a service provider.

Just waiting for the girl to get a techni person to take a look into it, but they only come on work at 8.00am

So i really don't know what to do now, apart from order a new sim, and try that when it arrives, and if that doesn't work i'm going to have to look for another sim card only:cry:

spoke to lovely girl at 7.30am, who promised me she would ring me back,

she couldn't understand why phone was just saying emergency calls only

tried taking the battery out whilst phone was switched on, once i got the virgin network, but not for long.

She rang me back at 10.00am and said that engineers had said signal was good in our area.

So went ahead and she ordered me a new sim, but keeping this number, about 30 mins later, i lost use of my sim and it now just says 'emergency numbers only'

haven't a clue where i'm going to go from here, if the replacement sim doesn't work.

many thanks for all of your help.

When they ordered you a new sim they would automatically disable your current sim. Apparently they have no way around this according to CS assistant I spoke to.

And i'm back to the start again

sim card came today, very fast

put in new phone and hey presto no network

searched and got, the virgin network, but then it went of

trying to send text messages and guess what no network coverage

I'm going to have to leave as nothing is working now.

Plus it's going to cost me £20 to get this phone unblocked.

Why not go into your local virgin shop and get them to sort if for you. Take the phone, box etc. and ask them to call CS and sort out. I found the shop very helpful.
