  • Points for can recycling questions?.

Well either I'm confused or the recycling machine at our tesco did not work properly?.

As I take some cans to the recycling for the first time at our store (only 12 cans). Was asked toincert club card\ key fob which I did. Onlt to be told on the screen I needed to get the green clubcard activated befor use?!?!?!?. So what, do you need a seperate card to get points for recycling or something?. I thought you could you your existing club card as in store?. And yes the card does work as it was used the same day and today in store for shopping.

Also how may cans per point should we be getting?. Thought it was 1 point for 2 cans, yet the machine stated the points for applicable cans (some were not accepted for points as not aluminium I guess) were a point per can.

    Any ideas anyone?.

Double-up vouchers were a special promotion for a limited time - think it ended early Sept.

I've lost my Clubcard and/or Key Fobs and need to get replacements. How can I do it?
That's no problem at all. Just call our Helpline on 0800 59 16 88 and we can arrange to send you a replacement Card and/or Key Fobs.

I'm not sure about registering - we've been using a recycling facility for points and didn't have to register.

You will only get points for aluminium cans - 1 point for 2 cans. Watch out for the difference. For example, Diet Coke cans count, but Pepsi Max (for example) don't as they are steel (I think). Hope this helps.
  • You would have thought I'd won the lottery yesterday when I discovered that one of my regular Tesco haunts has installed a brand new recycling centre! Now that I've pulled myself together just wondering whether you get points for the thick foil trays that some ready meals and prepared chickens come in? Has anyone tried these? Can't contain my excitement now! May have to go foraging for cans now, how sad is that???????????????

Oi, not round my area please, N London. Most of mine, and me mates cans are full of beer ;)
Thank you for reading this message.
  • Your cans are safe! I'm in the Glasgow area so be assured I won't be foraging that far, on second thoughts though, I'm having a London trip soon..................!

I have a theme park wristband voucher for blackpool but its arrived too late for me to use so just ended up buying wristband when there cos took ages to come. I read there was an address I could send it back to so that I could get the points added back on my clubcard as I have no use for the voucher now as I won't be going before it expires.
Anyone any ideas on the address to send it back to and has anyone tried it and got the points put back on ok?
    Thanks
