Does the computer not match the barcode on the voucher and the barcode on the keyfob to the clubcard account?

Yes I was thinking the same thing but perhaps it is for the SA to pick up on it.

It seems not. We have 3 clubcard accounts in this house (all same surname) and I use any of the vouchers against my keyfob.

As far as I know, you need to hand over a clubcard to allow the till to accept the voucher. Beyond that it is up to the SA to check that they are in the same name.

Yes and I would be interested to know what would happen in that situation. You are supposed to use them with your clubcard so if they have accepted them without it then presumably they would have to replace them? Perhaps someone could answer that please?
Thats my worry I read somewhere on here about a week ago this happened to someone they had only £5 worth but someone had used one of them and they couldn't get it back when she contacted them but they could tell her the sa hadn't asked for the clubcard with it when it was used. So much for security. I am waiting for over £300 that haven't turned up so you can see why I am worried and if I have to have them reissued I will have to wait to end of July for deals etc This just doesn't seem fair and I have been with clubcard since they started and never had a problem like this before by the time its sorted the other quarter will be due

Take the scenairo where someone moves house, but forgets to tell Clubcard before the 9th May. The vouchers go to the old address, and are used by the people there! Clubcard can tell what card no was used, with what card no, when, and where. In this situation, plainly it is nothing to do with the card holder, and they wouldn't lose out.
There are 'grey' areas - but generally speaking if it is not your card - not your loss.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

    Thanks.

So If the SA has accepted the vouchers without a clubcard does that still hold?

Let us know how you get on.

I used one of the vouchers today with no problems - I just used it with my key fob card and the cashier didn't blink an eye. I got the money off and the points from the shop added to my own card. Thanks to all for the advice.
