I was told that the SA has to scan a clubcard in order to accept vouchers. I was told this by cc cs when I was waiting on an extremely large mailing. I needed reassurance that my vouchers had not been used. I have not used my cc vouchers in store for at least ten years and only shop in one store 99% of the time. Fortunately, my vouchers arrived last week.

Well it must be possible for them to be used without a clubcard being scanned if you see the reply from No1Catman(they must have some connection with Tesco going by their posts)

Hi all, i have a query i hope someone can help

I opened an online account ages ago, and it allocated me a clubcard, but i never got one sent out... Although i had the vouchers sent out.

To be able to use 1st shop codes, i opened a few other accounts, so new clubcard accounts were auto made, and had vouchers sent out from those accounts too.

One time i managed to convert to restaurant vouchers by mixing two of my vouchers, so both from different accounts.

Anyway, now i want an actual card that i can use instore to collect points, but if i ring up they'll ask for my clubcard number, and i don't know the full number only the last 4 digits.

I'm worried that when i give them my details they'll say "oh! you seem to have 5 accounts all with points on" and then delete all the others or something

Can a kind knowledgeable soul tell me how it works and if this will happen, and if i will be able to get a physical card?!

    Thanks in advance!

Hi BC - don't ring them up. Pop into your local store and ask for one, saying you don't have one. That's what I did for my OH. Then go to your clubcard account on tesco.com and change the clubcard number to your new one.
    Click on:
    --- Groceries
    --- Manage My Account
    --- Your Clubcard Details
    --- New Clubcard number: *
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

Ahh thank you i didn't think of that! So can i combine my card(s) myself by doing this? Like going into all my clubcard accounts and entering the same number?

That would be good if i could cos i've got a few accounts with 88 points or whatever so they won't send vouchers

I've never combined an account and just left the ones with a few points for a while until I was ordering something online and used that account instead.
I would say it's always worth keeping the multiple accounts and then (when you do get enough points) you get multiple mailings.
I bought a book for OH recently (using a points code ;)) and used an account that only had 70 odd points on it and it's now got overr 200 so another mailing will be on it's way soon.
I have 2 physical card accounts, a credit card clubcard and 2 virtual ones.

    just a quick question,

after reading this thread, i realised that clubcard vouchers are non-transferrable.
But can i purchase points instead of vouchers from someone (on ebay) and have them transfer points to my clubcard?

You see, I am trying to get a "Hotel" deal on tesco rewards scheme and all of them are non-transferrable. So i cant just buy vouchers on ebay and get someone to purchase a deal for me from tesco. The rewards token used to get a discount at a hotel needs to have my name and postcode.

I am looking for a lot of points, worth in the range of £500 - £700 so pls kindly help me avoid any complications that may arise later.

On Ebay you can purchase temporary tesco card, where the seller just picked it up in store and used it to collect points and never registered it in his name.
Then you just fill up the registration details and add it to your account. I believe they do that in 1 phone call.

    Hi
We are thinking of using our clubcard vouchers towards a hotel stay hopefully soon.
We have never used any of our vouchers before and they expire this year.

Can anyone explain to me how we do this as it seems a bit confusing on the club card site.
    Thanks very much in advance.

Thanks but we would like to use them for a hotel stay in July, but we are not sure how to do this. Do we present the vouchers to the hotel?
