  • Clubcard Exchange debacle: Ok, so I live virtually next door to Tesco, my mother in law works there, so they get lots from our family. Recently I lost my clubcard; the key fob thing broke off. It took me about 4 weeks to get a new one. In the interim period, the vouchers arrived. Then I couldn't access my clubcard ac!!!! online because they had entered my name slightly wrong. Several hours of phone calls & weeks of waiting later, equipped with my clubcard, vouchers & having full access to my services I finally managed to exchange my vouchers for £20 in clothing & £40 in toys andgames in the double the value exchange promo.

It was coming to the end of the period when the vouchers could be spent die to massive delays & impossibility of getting through on phone. However, the site was down on 5th December and it ended on the 6th. I managed to spend my clothing vouchers. nice & straightforward. I have picked up my clothes. However, the voucher codes for toys and games just would not work. They would only deduct half the value:ie if i attempted to spend £41 it would say only £20 was valid in deduction. so i thought "ok, a bit of a pain, but whtever, i'll try 2 transactions", but this way it would only allow me to use £10 of vouchers. If I tried £10, none of the vouchers worked. If I tried £80 worth all of them worked, but I do not have £40 to spend, unfortunately.

After several attempts, differnt browsers, different pcs, cookies deleted etc nothing worked. We are both pretty useful on the computer. It is not our incompetence, but an issue with the system. So we rang the helpline. Couldn't get through. Tried again, couldn't get through. Tried again, couldn't get through. Tried again, they were clsed & the offer had ended :-(

SoI rang next day & they said I could have £20 back in vouchers in February. This just seems unjust. £40 worth of Tesco toys for my daughter at christmas versus £20 in february. I am fuming. That £40 ould have made up the bulk of her presents, we don't have much & it uld have been brilliant. I've now got a budget of £40 less which has halved our spending. I have emailed customer.services@tescofreetime.com every day for more than a week, but have not received any response. Does anyone have any advice or can they tell me my rights? I have taken screen shots of it not working.
  • Spotted a new deal in Tesco Pharmacy - Sign up to their Prescription collection service and get 100 clubcard points for free. It only seems to be in the sussex area (Bognor, Eastbourne, littlehampton and Worthing stores) but is a good deal for doing absolutely nothing.
  • Hi,

I have converted some of my Tecos points for £90 worth of Jessops deals Tokens. The intention is to buy a video camera, however on the voucher it says 'You can use your tokens to purchase any full-priced items from the entire range of Jessops products' and also 'Tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discount'. The problem is that the camcorder I want is reduced by £70. Does this mean I cant use the tokens, or will I only be able to use them on the full price (and save just £20), or will I just get the £90 token off the already reduced price?

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks

In theory you may be able to get away with it by just handing over the vouchers and hoping the shop assistant doesn't realise. However, if it is actually printed on the vouchers then the shop assistant may notice it.

    Sorry, can't be more helpful.
Thank you for reading this message.

I used my Clubcard Credit card to pay for £32 worth of food at Tesco, but my clubcard account only shows 32 points for this transaction.

I was expecting to get another 8 points for paying with the credit card (1 point per £4 spent).

I am correct in thinking this? I've read the website and that is how I understand it, but wanted to double check before trying Customer Services.

    Many thanks!

If you check your online statement, you'll probably find a separate credit for the credit card spend.

Be aware that Tesco award points per complete £4 per transaction for most of their credit cards, so £28 = 7 points, £30 = 7 points, £31.99 = 7 points and £32 = 8 points.
  • Do Tesco still do dtd on their own mistakes?

I have just had a deklivery of a £10 meal deal which was at full price. They refunded the wine (9.99) so I am even, well almost because the charge for the rest of the meal was 10.15 so not even got it right there. But it did make me wonder what the dtd rules are now please.

Thanks - it's showing there now. Just took a few days longer to appear than the rest of the points.

Now have another question - do the credit card points go into a separate 'pot', and if so, how many do I need to get a voucher?

I have 40 points showing as 'TBank Carried Forward', plus 24 points from the credit card since the last voucher cut off.

Does that mean I have 64 points in that 'pot'? How many more do I need for a voucher?

    Thanks in advance!

All CC points are added together no matter from where they have come from e.g. recycling shopping. Vouchers start off from £2.50 and then multiples of 50pence
Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D
