Any form of airmiles are only really useful if you going for business or first class, I have about £800 of clubcard vouchers to exchange into avios and an AMEX companion voucher. Using them on first class return to hawaii via lax (flights are worth about £16k)

Total cost to me, not much for the clubcard points and £1100 in taxes and charges :)

I agree that using airmiles for business or first is probably the best value way to use them but I don't agree tht this is the only way they are useful.
Other ways may not be such good value, but it is up to each individual to judge how much the £ saved is useful - if it makes the difference between being able to afford something or not go at all that can be just as useful to that person :)

Points & bonus points from Tesco entertainment. Are these added at the end of the period or should they have been added at the time of buying from Tesco Entertainmnet.

Pre ordered the Now 80 in november which was advertised with 250 bonus points which haven't appeared on my online statement.

Phoned CS who say an entertainment issue, phoned them, who say anything to do with CC points is not their problem but will appear at the end of the period in otherwords end of January.

    Any clues?[/QUOTE

ive had a very similar argument with tescos regards extra points
they used to show on the till receipt every time u used a voucher for points as a total of points gained/ earned this visit so u could keep up
    BUT NOW
they say there added at end of the quarterly clubcard mailing ???
to me that means u have to make sure it does by keeping your eyes out
and ok some will do that but now many of us will remember every single one ?
to be its a way of tesco hoping we forget and for those that done - there's c,s will"add for you if u can be bothered to ring and query it

  • I think you'll find that is 1000 miles per £2.50 voucher :)
The normal 600 miles will be added initially and the bonus 400 miles added 28 days later.

Has this bonus been confirmed anywhere? I don't want to risk "cashing" in my Tesco vouchers if it is only 600 miles. How do we know for sure the additional 400 miles are going to be added? Why is it taking 28 days for the bonus to be added?

I had hoped to book my flights as soon as not a month later
  • I've had an email reminder to use up my Tesco Clubcard vouchers as some are about to expire.

There are no rewards I want to exchange them for. I usually spend in store whenever there is a Double Up of Clubcard vouchers.

Do Tesco still do them and when is the next one please?

Yes, lots of people have had email reminders about vouchers that were sent out two years ago that are due to expire at the end of Feb. This so that any rollovers would've been in time for the Feb mailing (nb tomorrow will too late for that).
It is very likely that there will be more Voucher Exchange promotions, but not with the Feb mailing.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard
  • Does anyone know if the 1,000 Avios points for £2.50 in vouchers is definately happening? Still nothing on the clubcard website.

    Cheers

Usually they do double ups about three times a year, I think from memory last year it was round Easter, then in August and Nov/Dec. If your vouchers are likely to expire before the Easter mailing then it's worth your while sending them back to CC to have the points re-credited to your account, and then they will come back to you as new vouchers next time round.

Just noticed that my Feb statement info is now showing on My Account on CC website and the vouchers are now available on My Vouchers page.
Also cut-off date for next statement - 5th May
