  • I wanted to warn people that Livebait Manchester are not accepting rewards vouchers as payment anymore. According to Livebait's website the Leeds location no longer exists but Tesco's website is still advertising it. Be warned as we had a shock when settling the bill!

Does anyone know if Tesco will refund the vouchers? We can't travel to London just to spend these vouchers!

    Thanks

You can return unused deal tokens. Here is the quote from the website:

Tokens that are unused but in-date can be returned to Freetime for a points refund. Additional refund conditions may apply to specific products.
  • 31st Oct - I returned unused and in date reward vouchers for a credit.
28th November - (4 weeks after returning the reward vouchers) I'd heard nothing and so I telephoned the clubcard line to find out the status. I sat in a call queue for over 20 minutes before hanging up in disgust.
28th November - I emailed clubcard stating the above
1st December - I received an email back with no apology just confirmation that they will appear on my next statement in February 2012!

This is appalling customer service ... No response to my voucher return and I wasted over 20 minutes in queue without being answered! My advice is to email but hopefully someone at Tesco Freetime will investigate and resolve these problems because it is undermining the Tesco brand.

I do understand the frustration of not being able to get through, but Tesco are usually very good with their customer service. It would seem that the latest double up exchange scheme seems to have caused a lot of problems and I feel sorry for the staff having to deal with this.

I fear that if this causes too many problems and becomes not cost effective by having to employ more staff/pay overtime etc. Tesco will simply not offer this any more.

Whenever Tesco organise something 'different' problems occur. Earlier this year they reorganised their banking system, and their phones were on meltdown because of the problems involved. I remember hanging on for 45 minutes waiting for a response. They have promised more changes in January "to improve the service" :(

I have had exactly the same service. I will wait till the next issue but I strikes me that if the returned vouchers are left off the issue, as they are not showing on the points total for my card on their website, it means waiting until next summer to get the issue again. I tend to never trust a corporation unless I can see it in black and white before my eyes.

I've just had to return two items that I purchased through tesco direct using clubcard vouchers that I'd doubled up. When the cashier refunded the cost, she put it straight on to my debit card. It wasn't until afterwards that I realised I'd only spent a few pounds using the card on the order, the rest of the cost was covered with vouchers, is the money still going to go back onto my card or will it instead go back to my clubcard account in the form of vouchers? I've got a receipt showing its going on my card but surely this would mean you could get money for nothing - I had £20 vouchers, doubled up to £40, now had £40 put on my card that I can spend anywhere?????

can someone please explain how you can get more from your clubcard points i only got a clubcard this year and dont use very often ive just loooked on the net i have 556 points so will try and use it more next year.

but i thought you could only use the points when tesco sent you food vouchers but i read on this forum that you can use them against other things how do you do that.

i bought an ipad recently from tesco online if i had had a decent amount would i have been able to get money off with vouchers?

i did get money off as it happens but only because they had a deal of £20 off for a £200+ spend.

i am curious as to how it works so that maybe i can get a bargain next year!

yes you could have used the cash value of the vouchers to part pay or wholly pay for the ipad, if you had had enough.

this will tell you how you can spend your vouchers.
