Are you sure there is nothing you want from the Rewards/Deals scheme (don't just look at the Double Up scheme), a meal in a restaurant, a day out ??? As a last resort you can use the vouchers to pay for your shopping, but that doesn't represent such good value.
A holiday was the only thing we really looked at but the cost of the Virgin Hols are huge anyway so they kinda ruled themselves out of it.
Trying to get as much value out of it as poss but may have to do with just £ for £ with groceries(

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so please forgive my ignorance if not.
Myself, my wife and my 16 year old son visited Pizza Express in Falmouth this week. When I booked the table I was careful to mention the Tastecard, and they said that was fine.
We also had a Tesco Clubcard Voucher that was due to expire. We have previously been to this branch and used a combination of a Tastecard for two of us and Tesco voucher for another two. This time however they refused and pointed us to the condition on the Tesco voucher stating that they could not be used in conjunction with any other offer.
My reading of this condition is that you couldn't use it to get a double discount, e.g. it would be unreasonable to halve the cost with the Tastecard and then pay that lower cost with a Tesco voucher.
I could not see how what we requested was different from us asking for two separate bills and using the Tastecard for one and the Tesco voucher for the other. The manager was called over and agreed with the waitress.
We are very frustrated, especially as we have done this before at this branch of Pizza Express when a different manager was on duty.
My wife emailed head office, but they just passed the email back to Falmouth, and we already knew their opinion!
I would be interested in hearing other peoples thoughts and experiences with this.
Regards

Hi ,
Sorry for such basic questions but I hope one person will answer:o
I have to shop online a bit more . I don't buy anything too expensive at the moment but wondering how to deal with shopping and looking after mum/house , and if it's best having a card in my name seeing as i'll be using my bank account for purchases. Or should I just use hers?
If you are paying for all the purchases, then it is surely the same as if you are buying for yourself. It would seem easier to get the card in your name.
The only question I have is, are you having goods delivered? If so, (as I don't do shopping online), can you have goods delivered to another than your registered address. If not, register the card at your mother's address.Thank you for reading this message.0 -
Can someone offer advice, Saving for a holiday with clubcard vouchers, the other halfs mum will give us her vouchers i know it says you cant use them yourself, but what name would be printed on the ones you send off to cosmos? Ie will the oh's say n smith and her mums also say n smith (same initials). Does this make sense?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. It's largely irrelevant whose name is on the payment card as far as the name on the clubcard is concerned - it's just personal choice.
Yes, if you order anything on-line, your Tesco dot-com account can have a different delivery address to the 'home' address.
It's easier having the CC in your name, as it will be attached to your email address.
Please note - if you do set it up in someone else's name - in the long run, it will be easier to set up an email address for them first. Rather than link it to yours - then you won't be able to see your CC on-line!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -

If your try to do one order for holiday (cosmos) tokens with vouchers under two people's CC - the system is likely to throw out the order.
You may still happen if both CCs are in the same surname at the same address, otherwise I don't see it.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Clubcard points have gone from my online account but no vouchers received in the post yet - is this normal? I thought they were going out a while ago.0

Probably means that the 300 pts are made up of two types e.g. tpf & CC - maybe you have a credit card linked to your CC or have insurance points? So the points could be 37 tpf & 263 CC = clubcard vchr £2.50.
why would that make a difference? aren't all points counted towards your vouchers? if not, what happens to them?
I only have points from spending at Tesco anyway (these may be both instore and petrol, I'm not sure).0 -
Just used all mu £91 on rewards, Spent £60 on eating out thats £240 worth of free meals, £30 worth on wine thats was £60, Got 12 bottles of finest wine for £3.34 what a deal. Used £60 (double up vouchers) then a £10 off voucher and then they are offering free delivery. Not bad £3.34 for 12 bottles and its wine i like and would have brought for xmas.
