I never said that mate, if anything i'd have commented that basic accounts should not be linked to behavioural score because they are basic and not credit scored, behavioural scores are for credit related products so thinking logically, why would you build up a behaviour score if say you have a ccj only 1yr old? The score would be irrelevant because the ccj would knock you back every time.
I think you'll find that basic accounts are not directly behaviour scored like normal current accounts. For a fact, HSBC are not.

LOL, yea it says I got told! Remember the other night I sent a PM and asked you to edit posts to remove names to establish these things (and also whether basic accounts report to cra's?)
Thats why I said, I got told LOL - I didn't say it was factual but I don't think they are cos internal behaviour scores are for credit related purposes only. Otherwise they mean nothing.2010 - year of the troll

I think you'll find they're not mate - think about it, you are deep in debt and apply for basic account. They perform a fraud search and address search thats it. You are not credit searched/credit scored and definitely not allowed credit facilities.
So, lets say that you get an internal b/s of say 90 out of 100 and they say you 'should' be ok to apply for XX product. You apply and get declined cos you still have a default, you'd argue that they should never have told you to apply.... does that not make sense?
A behaviour score is only useful for credit related purposes, as a basic account is not credit linked any behaviour score would be fruitless and meaningless.
Only my logical opinion mate....2010 - year of the troll

I can totally understand your logic. Most of the time I would agree with you. But this time your wrong.
I can confirm Abbey have never ever done a credit search on me in upgrading my account or card.0 -
