Well if you win the lottery can I have some.....Please. :)

    Did you try Vanquis?

Of course you can - I'll buy you a camel..:D

Yup - tried Vanquis first, but they didn't want me. I nearly gave up at that stage, but it was only through following this thread that I got up the guts to have a go for Cap1, so thanks guys...

Here's hoping. I now need to turn my attention to my OH, and working on setting some stuff up for him. He did have a Cap1 card some time ago, and messed it up, but paid it off at least 4 years ago. I am assuming going back to them for him would not be a good idea - what do you think?

If it was paid off then it shouldn't be a problem.

But Capital One like most companies keep records for 6 years.

Has he tried Vanquis? I would recommend trying someone else before going back.

I guess I was thinking if Vanquis rejected me they would him too - we have been equally appalling. The only thing is he is employed rather than self employed like me and does have a vg salary. I guess we can but give it a go.

    Are you financially linked?

If you are it probably isn't worth it because if they rejected you, they are likely to reject him.

The bank account is a joint one, so yes. What about Aqua - any thoughts?

Try them, they can be a little harder than other sub-prime. IMO
