Paranoid Personality Disorder is a condition characterized by excessive distrust and suspiciousness of others. This disorder is only diagnosed when these behaviors become persistent and very disabling or distressing. This disorder should not be diagnosed if the distrust and suspiciousness occurs exclusively during the course of Schizophrenia, a Mood Disorder With Psychotic Features, or another Psychotic Disorder or if it is due to the direct physiological effects of a neurological (e.g., temporal lobe epilepsy) or other general medical condition.
Complications:
Individuals with this disorder are generally difficult to get along with and often have problems with close relationships because of their excessive suspiciousness and hostility. Their combative and suspicious nature may elicit a hostile response in others, which then serves to confirm their original expectations. Individuals with this disorder have a need to have a high degree of control over those around them. They are often rigid, critical of others, and unable to collaborate, although they have great difficulty accepting criticism themselves. They often become involved in legal disputes. They may exhibit thinly hidden, unrealistic grandiose fantasies, are often attuned to issues of power and rank, and tend to develop negative stereotypes of others, particularly those from population groups distinct from their own. More severely affected individuals with this disorder may be perceived by others as fanatics and form tightly knit cults or groups with others who share their paranoid beliefs.

Hello all,
I applied for the Citibank plus account (which on the letter states that I have been provisionally accepted) as well as the Citi Visa Gold Card (for which I have received a form to sign and send back).
My question is, does this mean I have been accepted for the credit card? I'm awfully sorry if this is a stupid question, but it's my first credit card application.
Any advice is very much appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi
Unfortunately it doesn't - they credit check you upon receipt of the form with the ID requested. This is a standard letter, Citi only credit check when you return the pre-printed form. Even though the Key Facts etc have your name printed on them, it's the way they do things.
Regards the Visa, this is similar but depends what the form is - if it is just the CCA then again, it may be that they need to credit score you but if not you'll get the Pin through within a week so you'd know then...... usually with the card, you don't have to sign or send anything in cos they do online completion.

hey what is the process for appealing a card application decision? i applied for a card with my bank (alliance and leicester) and was declined but the letter said something along the lines of "please feel free to appeal this decision in writing" the card is a really good one and wuld be great for building my credit rating as it's a cashback card so my intention would be to do all my spending on it instead of my debit card and then pay it off in full each month.
thanks0 -

Normally send a letter with three months bank statements advising how good you are with money; current liabilities and anothing else you think the lender ought to know... Obviously the more info you give the better your chances.....
If you been in same job for like years say this and explain that means your stable, likewise with accommodation etc etc

Good morning all.... I hope everyone is having a happy Thursday.
Quick update, received my Cap1 card with my £100 limit, and received my new phone all on the same day. T-Mobile managed to seriously muck up transferring my PAYG number to contract, which was going to mean that they would have to cancel my contract and have me reapply, but they basically said they would then reject me because the first search would show on my file, and credit dept wouldn't be able to accept me - go figure! And this because they mucked up. Anyway, after some stern words and a short while on the naughty step, reason prevailed, and they fixed it - hurrah!
So, from being a financial leper in January, I now have a bank account, eeny weeny but still a credit card, and a phone contract. Things are looking up.:j
Clearly all I need to do now is win the lottery! I am sure it's my week this week!;)
