  • Thanks Sutton. I now have accounts with Littlewoods, Additions Direct, Marshall Ward and Empire who are all part of the ShopDirect group. I am wondering if I should now go for Kays too (also part of the same group)

    Range from £500 to £200.
  • I was contacted by their fraud department who asked me why I was opening so many accounts with them. Apparently I got referred for extra checks to be carried out or something. I explained that I just can't seem to stop shopping! I was then asked to pay a £10 deposit, which I did. They then told me that was fine and that I could go ahead and continue shopping.

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Hopeless Case: Well don't loss faith in building your credit up. I had at least 10 because I had to give up work to look after my Mum.

I have paid most of mine back and alot have dropped off now. I have about 2-3 still on there but 1 more drops off in March this year and I'm paying 3 final installments on another and then thats done with.

How come you have so many? If you don't mind me asking.

Because they are dated last year most if not all lenders will see them and say no straight away. I had this problem I couldn't get credit full stop because of all my Defaults.

There is nothing really I can recommend until they are older really.

How old does the default have to be before it is realistic to start applying credit? 4 years old default?
