    I just phoned HSBC. They said that customers cannot appeal the decision and that you must wait 3 months before HSBC can even look at your application again. They also said that branches cannot override the system and if you have been declined because of your credit rating, staff cannot change this decision.

    Hmm...

    It may still be worth a try going into your local branch and asking.

    I shall do. I phoned Barclaycard and am going to write a letter, accompanying the latest copy of my credit report. Will do the same for CapitalOne. :)
