Update on the Sygma CIFAS issue that I have !

Received a response back from Equifax, it seems that certain CIFAS info does not show up on your files -

Sygma wrote back yesterday, asking for copies of passport, birth certificate, etc. to confirm my partners, and my identity, and then they will 'progress the matter further'

Bloody unbelievable!, as both our applications were honest, truthful, and by us.

So if you've been CIFAS'd by Sygma, get in touch with them, and get it sorted, you may not even be aware you have !

Take a read of this post: #95

    Thread is here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1482065&page=5

This will show you it's not just cifas to watch out for. I've actually had a Sygma cifas taken off, they never wrote to me asking for ID again! I'll post you the link when I can find it (may be on here a few pages back)

    EDIT:

Here is some interesting info on this thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1449625&page=139 - you'll see i've went into detail about these agencies etc....

  • Hi ya

Hope your Cap1 turns up soon!! ;)

Did you ever get the business with your address sorted out with the PO?

Let us know what you find when you manage to get your credit files through.

    UNDERGROUND :D

Hi Underground - thanks. Just a painful waiting game.

No movement on the address. I understand it can be a long and painful process, and has to be initiated by my landlord who is often very busy where the sun doesn't shine at the best of times  , so I have decided to tackle one thing at a time - Cap 1 first  , then credit files:eek: then address issues:eek: .

Will let you know how I go...

When I got my Aqua Card I set up a Direct Debit as I thought that would be the best way to pay it, so the Direct Debit came of my Bank on Monday and Showed up on Aqua on Tuesday UNCLEARED !, so I phoned them and was told that any payment over £200 regardless of if it is a direct debit or not can take ANOTHER 7 days to clear !, so my payment will not clear until Monday which is a week after it was taken.

So be watch out that if you make a payment over £200 it might take 7 days to clear !.

P.s You can now register for Aqua Online account management, but 9 times out of 10 it does not work !.

It is annoying I know, but DD is the best way to pay any cc bill.

Just tried the online thing, seemed ok tbh.

    Good evening, reporting for duty...:D
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Out of interest was anyone wanting an update on the Lowell case from CAG? I won't go into specifics but sure the OP wouldn't mind me giving a brief update.

This will be won by the consumer and as a result, laws will change and the outcome will force credit agencies to change the way they process data.

Its D-Day tomorrow - 4pm. Application for Judgement by the claimant (UK26) tomorrow.

Lowells are officially shatting themselves..... it is soooooo funny to see their feeble attempts to scare the OP. If they they ever threaten anyone on here whatever you do seek legal advice because they are a sham.

    Enough said for the moment......
