    Good morning to all
  • Thought I would give a quick update.

At last I have received my first bank statement in I don't know how many years so I am feeling like I have proof on my first step to growing up in my attitude to finances - really pleased. I have therefore sent of the relevant docs to Cap 1, so I guess I am now at the twitching at the sound of the letterbox stage.

Next step is to take a deep breath and get my CRA stuff.

Given up on the phone thing for now - hoping someone kind, ie OH might help with a PAYG for my birthday.

    Will keep you posted.

Hi i applied for a jd williams catalogue last nite and it said that i had a £125 limit to start. Do they credit check you when you apply online or do they accept most people then do their checks after you have applied?

I think the credit check will be done when you apply.

What happens alot is you get a limit say £125 then that disappears then reappears the following day.

I hate Next and Wescott Credit

I had a next account a few years ago and made a full and final payment to them to settle it.
Applied for another account and was asked to send in proof of address which I did, phoned them today to ask about descision and was told Sorry you cant have an account as you still owe us £90 WHAT!!!!!! never been told this by either Next or Westcott, if I want a cash account with them then I will have to pay the money. The underhanded gits so anyone offering Next a full and final payment DONT do it as it goes against you
