On Experian I have 22 searches in the last 12 months.

On Equifax I have 23, but quite a few for "outstanding debt" all to the one company I have paid off. Why they have done so many only God knows.

I've filled in an on-line dispute to get the companies in question to remove them because I have paid them off.

I have only got 4 searches on my Equifax file 3 from the same company. Do you think that I should still apply with lenders that search EQ?

Good!! Yes I would like to know the responses, it would be very interesting to find out what particular data they hold on someone, far to much probably.

I did read through the mountain of posts this morning between yourself and never-in-doubt. Enlightening!!

I was once accused by the RAC as frontin an insurance policy so I hope it will contain the stuff they have said about me.

You could give it a go.

Barclaycard and Sygma use Equifax only.

Shop Direct Group which comprises of Littlewoods, Great Universal etc also use Equifax exclusively to search. They report there data to all three CRA's. HTH

So RAC basically accused you of insurance fraud!!

Any particular reason why they did that?

Well, a few years ago my dad insured me on his car as a named driver. Once I borrowed his car whilst he was on holiday and crashed it ( albiet not my fault ) The lady slipped up and basically said that RAC are not sure that my dad owns the car and they think that it belongs to me!
