Sounds like they may have accepted you!!

dont bank on it - this is the norm. They send you a pre contract and CCA to send back with ID (must be certified) and then when they receive the forms back they do another check on you similar to RBS. Unless you fail after they look at it manually at referral stage in which case you get the same message but get a letter saying no thanks, instead of the CCA and pre contract.

My bro just got declined after successfully appealing the first decision. They wrote and said sorry NO, he appealed (same as happened with me) and sent him the pre contract and CCA and he thought that was it - in the bag.

    Oh no!

When he sent the forms back he hadn't heard owt for 2wks and rung to be told sorry, you've been declined. He went mad saying how is this when i'd already successfully appealed and he was told underwriting check everything that gets returned and they decided to revoke the appeal.....

Sorry but that's what happened with us. I however, won my appeal and got the card no problem.

    I have heard between £3000 - £4000

I got £3,800. The gold card start limit is £3k which I guess everyone must get. If you dont qualify then they would downgrade you to the standard blue card.

£3,800. Others on here have stated between £3k - £4k. Only one person got £5,700 from memory. But he had excellent credit. The PO card also give half decent limits (issued by BOI)

I appealed their decsion, they replied and advised that I met there credit scoring and I had no adverse on my credit file but still declined
I think this is because there is adverse info regarding me & identity theft on other systems i.e hunter but don't know how these work and what they are called...

I received an email the other day from a woman in Customer Administration who wanted to know my residential status in order to proceed with the application.

I'm sure I didn't miss it out though. I emailed her back but haven't heard anything since.
