Good afternoon. I am still feeling chipper since Sutton said things looked good for Cap 1. I am just waiting for my first statement to drop from the shiny new bank account to send to them. Fingers crossed.

What bank account have you successful got?
  • NatWest current plus with cheque bk, guarantee card, debit card etc. I couldn't quite believe it.

    Hi Mich
Was defiantley told will get £100 sent back to you they just want a spotless record from you no over limits or late payments, they just seem to move the goal posts to suit themselves.

I opened it over the phone actually, I just fessed up and told them my credit history was rubbish, but I wanted to sort myself out, and asked for a basic account. He went through all the questions and told me I had been approved for the Current Plus. They gave me a servicecard 250. I even asked him if he was sure!!

I have pretty much every nasty under the sun, and not all satisfied. Silly person trying to do better. I am waiting to get my actual reports because they want me to send them proof of ID.

Have you signed the forms and received the paperwork yet?

Perhaps it's not as bad as first feared.

Yes I do sadly. The account has been up and running for a month. No idea how I managed it, and as I say, I told him the situation on the phone.
