I have just been on the phone to MBNA again, this time for an hour!

I was passed through to so many departments it was unbelievable, but they have yet again all said the same thing ...

The secured deposit card will not be upgraded, and the £100 will not be refunded unless the account is closed after making a final payment

Not one person knew what I was on about when I read out to them what was on the letter which came with the card. Not once did it say you had to close the account down to get your money back.

Looks like it was a waste of time, for me at least. I give up with them, and reckon I will now cancel the card :rolleyes:

That is so weird as when i phoned up got told the opposite, after 6 months goes to a standard visa and the deposit goes against the balance, seems strange that they are telling people different things.

PROLIANT could you have alook at the Equifax thread in the credit card forum please, I may be wrong but CIFAS do all appear on your credit files, don't they, I'm a little confused at what I've been reading. I was lead to believe they put them on your file but don't send you a letter informing you.

I thought i would ask you because you kno your stuff.

Applied for Post Office CC..got a letter today requesting I send documents to prove my identity and to prevent MONEY LAUNDERING:eek:
Been asked to send copy of passport, pay slip, bank satement and CC statement...does this happen often? Is a good or bad sign?

Are they still going to say thanks...but no thanks?

IMO they would only ask for this info if they are inclined to accept you

I do try and look after myself. I try and get down the Gym 2 or 3 times a week.
