Oh dear. Just paid for my Experian score and it is disastrous.

    237!

Factors that are having a positive effect on your score
    • You make all your repayments on time and in full - no accounts have been paid late in the past six months
    • You are on the electoral roll (registered to vote) at your current address
    • You don't have any county court judgments and you have not been declared bankrupt in the last six years
Factors that are having a negative effect on your score
    • You have made three or more applications for credit in the past six months
    • You have several credit agreements (excluding mortgages), and the outstanding balance is high

    Thanks, Cif.

I bloody will when i finally get the decline letter.

You'll be waiting a long time. :rotfl: Vanquis have a tendency to not send letters out. I never got a ''You have been accepted'' letter from them. It was only when I rang them 3-4 weeks later that I found out I'd been accepted.

On a side note, my Aqua CC came this morning. All activated and set a Direct Debit to pay the full amount on the 28th of each month. :T

YAY for first credit cards. :)

237 that's crazy!! Mine is better than yours. :rotfl: Mine is 433 as of yesterday. I take it the final one means a default.

Searches and your default long with your CIFAS. I take it all this combined gives a horrendous score.

Thanks. I sent my passport and bank statement to Vanquis yesterday. It's showing as received, so hopefully I'll have a Vanquis card by next week some time.

When I phoned Aqua, I set up a Direct Debit to pay the full amount each month. I'm now contemplating whether this was a good idea and whether I should have just taken in the giro slip and paid in my bank each month or pay via Debit Card, as if one month, I'm a little short, I can't just pay say 70% off the card and leave the extra 30% till next month.

I don't see myself doing this, but I can never be sure.
