PMSL at this thread. I am not even going near my bathroom cabinets yet. I am concentrating on using up everything in my fridge/freezer as I really need to defrost it this week, I keep getting puddles of water on the kitchen floor :(
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I believe you can get special underwear for this particular problem! :D

I'm currently using up all the 'ickle' bottles of stuff that came in Christmas toiletry gift packs. I've also unearthed a lot of my Dad's old, unopened stuff and palmed it off on my housemate. I've also got around a dozen bottles of Fruit Fusion, which I got on bogof, but this is my regular shampoo, so it won't be stored and forgotten.

We're not too bad on the food front. There's a couple of ready made sauces to use up and a freezer full of food, but nothing that a month's use up won't finish. :D
    Good, clean fun.... :D

Not sure where the puddles come from - the fridge freezer OR ??!!!
    LOL
  • try the drain at the back of the fridge. Might just need a wipe at the bottom with a pointy bit of kitchen roll
  • my hubbie pointed out there were toiletries in another wardrobe - making 28 bottles of shower gel in total, and i daren't even think about looking anywhere else yet. AAAAAh. If you don't hear from me i'll be the one in the bath trying to use the darn stuff up.

We are just too money saving - we've been using the shower puffs as you get much better foam, but you use a lot less.

As DH pointed out, at least we haven't paid for the stuff, although i think i might put out a plea for my relatives not to buy anymore if i'm still here at xmas.
  • Michelle I am going to buy or make some organza drawstring bags and give some of these smellies away as presents. Nice bit of ribbon etc or a little tissue-lined box.
  • i've already given some to the charity shop. I suppose i could give some away as gifts.

I'm just a bit over sentimental - a lot of the stuff is from the kids i teach, and i feel bad giving the stuff away when they have given it me. I wasn't at work over this xmas, so i didn't get any this year, but i guess it was a good job. I'm overrun as it is.
  • In an effort to keep the cost of Christmas _party_ down I cleared out the "pantry" (the hole under the stairs) to see if I actually needed to buy any alcohol. On the one hand I was delighted that I needn't buy any hard stuff, but then again was somewhat dismayed to count approx 16 bottles in various quantities including a quarter bottle of duty free gin from 6 years ago and 3 - THREE I ask you - bottle of peach schnapps from various parts of the EU. We are still working our way through them - I even had to buy some tonic for some of them! :shhh: !!!!
  • I have been doing this for a while now - started with regular eat up the freezer months so that I could stock it up again at Iceland. When you do a 3 month shop at Iceland you do need the chest freezer to be empty or you have real problems!!! Then I progressed to booze just before Christmas to use up the ends of sherry and port and rum from the previous Christmas (lots of boozy sauces) and now I'm on the toiletries stocktake - we have soooo much toothpaste you would not believe. Also sun tan lotion but not much chance of using that up unless I use it as moisturiser!!
