BT Broadband offer

Been on Option 3 for a year. Called up to see what deals were available. After reviewing my recent usage (under 4Gb a month) was offered a 12 month contract on Option 1 for £9.29, line Rental for £10.50 and a new black Home Hub.
As £19.79 is less than what I was paying for the Option 3 alone, and currently I only have Sky or talktalk as unacceptable alternatives in my market 2 area, I took them up on it.
I will revisit it again in 12 months. No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
Is this offer still valid?........I have recently had my orange broadband put up by £7, I've checked on asksam and found talk talk are also on my exchange.......bt today said the best they could do was £12.99 plus 11.75 line rental..............I asked about the £7.33 and they said they know nothing of it, they are ringing back tomorrow.
Just spoke to orange who said if I took up Bt's offer tomorrow I would be liable for a £25 charge for cancelling the contract if I dont wait for the MAC code to come through which will take 3-5 days.........is this true?
The £7.33 offer is for existing Bt broadband customers who are out of contract and agree a new 12 month term at £7.33 a month on opt1.
Orange are correct in the price they quote as changing broadband providers without using a mac incurrs a cease charge so just wait for you mac.
Also you can get BT broadband for £9.99 on option 1 on an 18 month contract as a new customer so ask for that instead.0 -
I just renewed on the same deal again there was a slight variation of about 15 pence per month, its now £9.49 per month.
I've also changed my direct debit to pay monthly which is better for the household budget, happy days.0 -
I've been with BT for phone and broadband since May 2006.
My friend who's been with them since October 2006, phoned up this week, got Option 2 for £10 a month as well as a brand new hub.
What are the chances that me phoning up will get a similar deal?
I have no idea when my contract ends.
Any suggestions guys?
