BT Broadband offer

Hi - received a call from BT (my current broadband provider) offering £12.99 per month (including VAT) if I commit to a 12 month contract.
I've been with BT for a couple of years now and have always found their support service to be excellent. Also, I don't seem to have had connection problems that other posters have mentioned from other providers.
However, in saying all that, I do want to get as good a price as possible.
Do you think I should stay with BT or do you think I should move to another provider and if so can you recommend one please?
Thanks as always.
Regards

I have the same query,my BT Broadband is up for grabs in March and wondered what they would offer me - at the moment Im on about £22 a month far too high, guess I would be pleased with 12.99 if they offered me that,is there anything else I could get for free you reckon?Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. :beer:0

i got a phone call the other day offering me free bt vision box(worth £189 apparantly), another free home hub( that will be 4 i have in total, 2 old & 2 new ones), half price bt vision viewing package for 3 months, free setanta sports for a year, £2 off my broadband package a month, and a free mp3 player(worth £40, was offered mp3, or a free all in one printer), so all in all i get £328 ish of incentives, and will pay back over 12 months £410.88, so broadband and tv costing me in effect £82.88 for a year, needless to say i accepted, funny thing is i only renewed my contact 4 months ago, when they offered me six months free, i presume this new contract will override previous renewal, but i have already had 3 months of free broadband, i was supposed to get a free month every quarter, but in my last bill they had given me 3 months free, so even if this does override my previous deal i will only be paying in effect £7.91 for the next 12 months, :j, sorry a bit long winded, but i think i got a good deal, and i think they realised they messed up, as the day after they offered me it, they phoned me and said they made a mistake and that i could not recieve the bt vision box as my line speed was not fast enough for it:rolleyes:, so i got straight on to the phone and rang them, and asked them to do a speed test on my line there and then, and it came back my speed was more than adequate to be able to use bt vision, so got them to reinstate the offer i had recieved the day before on the same terms, bt vision box arriving next week:beer:, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -
Salopman do you pay £22 a month plus get a separate bill for £10-27 i discovered last night that i pay for broadband £64-40 a quarter whilst the other half pays a monthly fee of £10-27 line rental, when i took out bt package i was under the impression was all in the quarterly package?0

Hi - thanks for this and sorry if I appear thick - I've checked and I'm in an LLU area but I don't know what that means! Also, are you saying that I can get BT Broadband for £7.33 because I have it or do you mean with another provider?
Cheers0 -

If there is an LLU provider in your area (sam knows will tell you this) Then BT can give you broadband option 1 for £7.33 a month for 12 months with BT.

Is this offer advertised somewhere? I am going to phone and ask for it too, but I expect they will say they don't offer it at that price (unless I am able to give them an offer code or say where I saw it advertised). If I can get it - result!0 -
I'm hoping you can help me! BT have contacted me & offered BT Vision (Gold package), landline rental, 24hr free landline calls-including to 0845 & 0870, broadband, & Free setanta, Free connection & Free hub for a 47GBP per month which is almost half what i'm paying at the moment. Whilst this seems a bargain - i'm keen to know what the quality is like as I would be tied in for 12 months. BT have assured me the only difference between what they are offering & sky is that they dont do multiroom - which isnt really a problem. This price sounds too good to be true. Please let me know what you think of the quality, performance & reliability etc. Thanks,0
