we should just do what china does,
1 Child policy.
If you on the dole, you can only have 1 child, after that child you are temporarily made infertile.
If you work you can have 2-4 children, perhaps applying for a child licence would work where your ability to 'afford' said child is assessed by a governmental body.
At least that way they'd only need 2 bed flats for a significant proportion of council properties. Seems mean, but alot of individuals put off having children to save and save for a house and security... and in the end have 1 maybe 2 children if they lucky (30-40's time).
How darwin must be turning in his grave..... Evolution where as a generalisation the non-working class, the lower educated class produce more offspring per person than the ones who learn and show greater evolutionary promise.
Basically all the intelligent people, work hard get jobs, work harder paying to soceity, have less than 2 children per 'couple' and then their genes... are lost over time.
Its quite clear people aren't personally responsible to have children within their means... to support them thereselves. Unfortunately. Our government makes a mediocre life possible for 2-8 children families.... Im not saying its a brilliant life, but it is a life that requires no intelligence, no prior training, no determination.
Of course like all generalisations there are people who this doesn't apply to, and that is the reason benefits and council houses were created... to help those who want to improve their lifes... not just stay on the benefit payroll all their lives.
you are truly stupid if you think evolution favours the educated:rotfl: :rotfl:
thank you so much for making me laugh:T0 -

welcome to labours Britain. Where even the Poles are heading back to Poland because its so depressingly bad and unfair here.
Stop taxing me to give to scum!!
I don't mind paying taxes to help me, and other tax payers ie street lights, defence, rubbish collections, police.
But not 190 free quid to little slappers who get up the duff. Not for 5 bedroon council houses, when I can only afford a house for 2 kids.
No one NO ONE who doesn't work should have more than anyone who does*
unless they are genuinely to disabled to work. that means the bad back brigade and the depressed brigade can get back to work. lazy scum. who cares if you are depressed. I ain't happy, but I work.
This has made me really angry. Yes I agree that there are a lot of people in this country who see illnesses like depression as an easy way to sit around and do nothing while claiming incapacity benefit. However, there are those who genuinely can't work because of their depression. Trust me I know. I spent 4 months in a psychiatric hospital last year for "depression" and I would have gladly swapped places with somebody who could work. It's impossible to go to work when you can't even manage to feed, bathe and clothe yourself and leaving the house brings on panic attack. It's no fun and no amount of "free money" would have me choose to be this way.0 -
I know what you mean. I've seen this before and it makes me admire the people that work there. Let's face it, the majority of doctors (not all however) are very, very intelligent indeed or they would not have made it as far as medical school, never mind qualified. To give your life to that when your intellect could get you very very wealthy in a capitalist society is something to be truly admired. I knwo not all do it for purely altruistic reasons, but many of them (you) must do, to cope with the pressure, the ungrateful patients and to really care for those so ill.
That's nice of you to say so, however I must confess it's not entirely altruistic - I actually love my job as much as I love to complain about it!
One thing is for sure I don't do it for monetary gain, because there is far better (and easier!) money to be made elsewhere.0 -
Hi SingleSue
Compassion for people who run into bad luck/ill health/child care is fair enough BUT perhaps the responsibility cuts two ways, if someone can contribute to society by work and tax paying then they should.
if work is the menaing of life then surely their should be no pensions and you should work till you die? cant work, put to death. no saving, no borrowing, just work for your survival.0 -

As for pensions i quite like the Australian system where people will opt out of contributions if they chose. It relies on the average joe being too apathetic to remove themselves. I believe a similar system is being made up for the UK but i do not know when it be implemented.0 -
