First off, to the OP - do you think we just shouldn't criticise government or something? Well I'm not a nice compliant drone, and I enjoy my right to proclaim the view that the government have f&%@ed up large. The problems in society are actually more likley to be caused by the mindless morons like yourself who look down and think our problems start and finish there. Try looking up the way, I think you'll find there are worse takers/scroungers/thieves/etc living up there squeezing us dry, than you'll ever find in your local council estate.;-)we should just do what china does,
1 Child policy...A person is a product of thier surroundings, and just because some people do have the where with all to turn themselves around, others with differently imprinted brains, different Nuerological connections aren't able to take this leap. What unemployed people need is a job, even if it's not perfect - so they can get something on their CV's, develop skills in situ, develop that elusive 'confidence', and even if they hate the job, at least learn that and plan towards getting a job they would like.0 -
Well, I had a doctor who couldn't tell the difference between eczema (which i've never suffered with) and a rash from a very bad viral infection. Two weeks incapacitated in bed later, a second opinion and some blood tests and I was finally able to start recovering. Never even got the eczema cream from the prescription as i knew she was talking bollix.
GP's and A&E doctors don't know everything particularly with a 7 minute consultation.
It's impossible for them to.
If you think the doctor is talking rubbish then tell them politely. And if you do get a misdiagnosis you need to tell the practice again politely.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Even though doctors are less likely to be treated like gods these days, it's still very difficult for most of us to tell them they're "talking rubbish," however it's phrased.0 -

Believe me, I argued my case. I was very very unwell at the time and she was having none of it. I also had a run in with her a few years later (I won''t go into it as very personal) and since have specifically asked no to see her and have made written complaints about her competence. Funnily enough, last time I was at that practice she wasn't listed on the partners. Hope she got the boot. I'm not the kind to just put up with something if I know it's blatantly wrong.
I wouldnt expect a doctor to know evrything in a few minutes. i would expect them to take a few minutes to assess the very obvious evidence and act accordingly. After all, that's why they go to uni for six years.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -

A lot of the people I treat seem to have no issues in shouting/swearing/hurling abuse/hitting me (and the nursing staff), whether I am talking rubbish or not.0 -

I'm glad I live in a generally more civilised part of the world.
But then we get back to discussing the general breakdown in civilised behaviour ......
P.S. How much abuse do you take before you quit or move into a safer area of work? If public behaviour continues to deteriorate, there will be fewer and fewer professionals prepared to put themselves at risk on the frontline.0 -

Maybe you should grease up and be a bit more gentle. Proctology is more than just mechanics you know, it's a sensitive subject.
_pale_ euw not nice. though sometiomes I find doctors suffer more from that kind of retention than the patients
DISCLAIMER: I am not referring to ALL doctors. This is NOT a generalisation.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0
