    Does anyone remember Greenwoods menswear- not sure if national but certainly all over the north west used to sell, "grandad clothes" tweed caps, cords, nice cream v neck jumpers, and very smart shirts.

    Still got one, hasn't been refurbed since the 80's either, and they now do morning suits and a few horrendous wedding dresses.

  • loved this thread! our price records, saxone, and presto(my nan always shopped there) what about jonathan james shoe shop and olympic sports.
    in southend we still have good old wimpy, theres nothing like having a knife and fork with your burger!
    kwik save and index catalogue!
    i used to love snob and chelsea girl.
    going off the subject slightly who remembers united bars yum and walkers snaps.


    There is still a Jonathan James shoe shop in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

    Still one in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, I can honestly say i have never seen anyone gong in there!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!
