    No, sorry, I meant Norwich. I can remember the International in Thetford, used to go in there with my grandparents on the way to visit aunts and uncles (I think! memory is a bit hazy!)


    Oh ok, i think BB Adams was probably a Norfolk chain, its good to know someone else remembers them though.....

  • Just remembered Mr Byrite - sold jeans and big baggy lairy coloured (it was the 80s) shirts and t shirts. Also Weigh and Save. Had huge tubs of food that you scooped out yourself Used to get to the till with three times the amount of chocolate raisins than I thought I had. Lovely smells in there. Pick and mix sweets in the same aisle as spices and curry powder and some smart alec would put the chilli powder scoop back in the sherbert.

    Yes I remember the weigh and save my mam wouldn't shop there she said kids with grubby hands probably messed about in the containers when no-one was looking:eek:

  • Dash are still trading too and not a bat-wing sweater in sight!! In fact last Summer they had the nicest range I have ever seen in there.

  • I remember Jumpers as they had a shop in Newport , Isle of Wight until about two summers ago!
