  • I remember a really large fabric shop in gloucester, every time had needlework project at school I would trundle along to there -but can't remember what it was called -became mvc when they closed down. Also remember wimpey, our price, meb shop which then became powerhouse, rumbelows, radio rentals, etam, c&a, hyper-value, bella pasta. We don't even have a next anymore as they moved out of town then it burned down!

mum remembered -it was Gordon Thodays.

I remember Jumpers as they had a shop in Newport , Isle of Wight until about two summers ago!

There was a Jumpers in Llandudno until a couple of months ago. I'm pretty sure that it was a franchise and the franchisee decided it wasn't worth carrying on.

Another one I dont think has totally gone, but I have hardly seen on the high street at all- any one

get those pastel batwing jumpers at the ready- anyone remember DASH!!

Until last year I still had a DASH sweatshirt (I hasten to add it was in the gardeining clothes box) - it had the little people on the front - don't know what they were made of, kind of raised and stuck on to the fabric. Mine were ski-ing!

I've also got some Together gear in my gardening wardrobe - it's all very pastel and colour co-ordinated. Maybe I should go the whole hog and have a spiral perm again to complete the look - oh and also lurking in the painting clothes are a pair of pin striped Sasparilla jeans (not that there is a snowballs chance in hell I could get into them)

Was Jumpers the same as Sweater Shop? - I remember every single person seemed to have something from the Sweather Shop. How naff were they! Thankfully I think I only had the one sweater with the name emblazoned on the front!
