Aldi staff can seem to be impatient to hit their customer processing target even when... I'm the only person in the queue!
  • 49p for 5kg of potatoes seems like a good grabbit to me

I was thrown (not literally) the first time I shopped at Aldi but have it down to a fine art now: frozen/chilled good unpacked first and it 'top' of trolley in semi rigid (Tesco black) bag; heavy stuff together, put in big blue Ikea bag, with fruit veg and light stuff in another IKEA bag. If I have too much I repack in the car.

Shopping in Aldi is wonderfully quick due to smaller selection and quick check-outs, even Saturdays, saving hours of time. And of course, shopping at Aldi saves £s too.

I save my big supermarket/Cosco shops for once per month and this works out fine - and I'm getting very fit speed bag-packing!

I am afriad this is what happens when shops employ immigrants with little grasp of the language. :(

I expect you're feeling pretty foolish now aren't you? Start reading smaller posts first and build up your confidence then one day, before you know it, you'll be able to read what somebody actually wrote instead of passing comment on something they didn't which, as you've found, can leave you looking a little deficient between the ears.

Still, a plus point is that you've made me laugh (at you though, not with you).

I noticed the checkout robot with the big mouth was literally throwing the groceries into the trolley.

Proceeding to 'chuck' more groceries into the trolley, so I pushed them back further.

Hence this has been posted in 'grabbit'

What?? What does 'little grasp' mean? So you presume that the staff member was an 'immigrant'[ with little grasp of what I presume you mean as 'English'? What utter nonsense!!
I'm sorry but it was probably true. And before anyone says 'read the original post', I did, and understand, but believe the point still stands and is probably about right, as I said.

So you read the original post and still decided to jump to a completely unscientific conclusion based on precisely ZERO evidence ? I despair.
