  • Lemma - you're amazing. Give yourself a virtual pat on the back (or is that a real one if you do it yourself??)

Those 8 people did not have your audacity or strength of spirit. Keep going!

Thanks for that. We are doing without so much in order to get this sorted, and also selling various bits and pieces. Its got to be done for our long term sanity and financial health.

No, it may not be fun, but it's very inspirational for me. It's helping me ensure that I make solid plans for paying my tax on time etc, and setting funds aside to do so. (It is easier to ignore stuff you don't understand!)

Paying tax is not supposed to be fun!

You are doing really really well though - keep going x

That is absolutely right. And its about predicting your tax liability for the following year and keeping an eye on your "profits". Underestimate and your are in deep do do.

This will never happen to me again!

Let this be a salutary lesson to all those self employed people out there. At least i have been able to negotiate with them, i know there are plenty who have just stuck their heads in the sand.

I suppose that would be my second piece of advice. If you have a problem, you tell them first and start a line of communication.

    Thanks for your support everyone.

And Hypno - I know its not "supposed" to be fun, this is perhaps a little more painful than its supposed to be though. I have been chastened by the experience.:o
