I am glad that you have finally got an answer, and at least you can carry on as you are, without having to find even MORE money! It must be a weight off your mind.

I will have been married 20 years next year......and I will also be 40 later that year........so I am sure as heck going to be debt free so I can do something fun and expensive (preferably with long haul flights and sunshine involved!).

    Congratulations Hypno!:T
    I'm dead jealous.

You must have been such a young bride. Bless!

I could not have even considered marriage at aged 19/20. I was too busy trying to fulfil all my Mother's aspirations for me. She would have gone nuts!

Now I am 40, and disappointed that I did not make any effort to sort out my finances earlier. I have always had a good income but I have no idea where it went.:o

Now its going on one thing. Then i will never get myself into this position again. I want my daughters to grow up knowing the value of money.

Yes, I was 19......very young, but I am a headstrong kinda gal :o

The main thing is that you ARE getting your finances sorted now.......you could have carried on bumbling along indefinitely. We all wish we had either sorted ourselves out earlier, or never got into this situation in the first place, but the fact is that this is where we are now, and it is what we make of the future that is most important.

Your children WILL learn from all of this, in the same way as you do - so going through all this stress does, believe it or not, have a positive edge to it.

well done on HMRC agreeing to your way of paying. That must be a great weight off your mind. As well as the thing about the balancing payments for this year too. (you can tell I can't really understand all this beyond the basics can't you lol)

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
