    Have they responded in any way yet? Or is it just a case of "no news is good news" and carrying on as per usual?

    I received a statement last week that was sent to my last address (luckily we have a redirection notice). I can't understand why they are sending stuff there when they have my new address from my tax return and the letter i sent them.:confused:

    I have heard nothing else. My hubby and i were talking about it last night and he says he thinks they may be snowed under and will get round to responding. I think i am going to write again today with the last letter and soa i sent to them attached. This time i shall do it by Recorded Delivery.

    I am going to carry on my usual payments though cos i can see me clearing this off quicker if i do and getting ahead for next year.

    hey there Lemma. Well done on the continued payments. I can't see that they would have a problem with you paying the way you are. Better to be getting a bit, and if they do cut up rough about having to find a lot of it right now (when they do get around to looking at your case), then at least it will be less than it was.

    ps *waves at Seaxwyn* hope you are doing ok. Off to look at your diary now.

    Another £100 off today.

    Total = £3805

    I have started my accounts for my year ending April 2009. I have earned about 12% less than last year so hopefully I will be able to reduce my payments on account for this year...which will really help with this little problem.

    Hope you are all having a great day x

    Thanks guys, your positive words really do help.:j

    I would love to be spending/saving the money on something else but the debt has to go. Short..ish term pain for longer term gain is the way i look at it.

    Its our 10th wedding anniversary this year and we always believed that we would be going back to Bali where we had our honeymoon. Suffice to say that was a pipe dream and we will probably not get away anywhere at all.

    I am having to pay probably 3 times my annual tax bill to get straight cos of historical interest and surcharges etc, if i am straight by January next year then i will have soooo much more disposable income.

    I am trying to clear my cc as well which i am throwing quite a bit at. But that will probably not be clear until April 2010 according to the snowball.

    Its gotta be done!

    So, no surprises here - £100 today to the HMRC!:rolleyes:

    I'm relieved. Still means me doing my £100 daily payment though.
