  • I was meant to be going to a pole-dancing taster session today but I woke up late with a awful sore throat and the beginnings of a cold coming on so I think I'll just stay at home today and try and get some sorting out done.

A friend from the Pagan society says she'll have a ask around about garages for me. She knows a bit more about cars than me so hopefully, she'll find somewhere.

I rang up the woman from the CAB earlier this week to organise a meet-up with her to go through the requirements for volunteering and left a message on her answering machine. I still haven't heard back from her so I'll ring again on Mon. It's pretty much a waiting game with a lot of my life at the moment, the MOT, the house, the CAB. Knowing me, that means it'll all start happening at once. :D

It looks like I might make it to the Manchester meet-up as well! :j I'm at my mum's that weekend and she's said that, weather permitting, we can go to Manchester that day. Everything's weather permitting with her, I swear she's scared of clouds! :rotfl: I casually dropped in that there might be some people from this forum wandering around and said that maybe we might run into them. Sly, aren't I? :D We'll be going over on the train so all being well, I might actually tell her about my debts on the way over. I've been thinking about telling her for a while, I don't think she'll freak out the way my dad and grandparents would or try to sort the problem for me. And it would be nice to have someone in my family who knows what's going on.

Well, guess I'd better get up in a minute and get some stuff done. (we need a 'yuck' smilie. :D ) Talk to you later.

  • My nose is now streaming, just in time for me to go to bed.

The stamps I'm selling on Ebay have gone up to 48p which, after Ebay and Paypal fees, leaves me with 21p in profit. I've just checked Paypal and I have £1.07 in there already. Not sure what from, but I'm not going to argue with it. :D So that's enough to do some other Ebay sales soon and not worry about losing out if things don't sell.

I'm also in the process of getting a nappy bin from Freecycle to keep my washable menstrual pads in. I've only got one pad at the moment but if it works ok, I should be buying some more. And my dad has agreed to give me his slowcooker, so I can have a go at making stews soon.

Can't think of much else at the moment. I finally got my self-employment forms done, which were much easier than I thought they'd be, so the man piority for tomorrow is to find that library book. I'm thinking I should have one priority item a day from now one, just to stop me from slacking off.

  • We got the house!!! :j :j :j

Unfortunately, I've got an awful cold. It's not quite flu, if it was I wouldn't be able to get out of bed, but it's enough to make me feel very sick. So hardly any of my list got done today. I'll have to do better tomorrow.

Tbh, I don't get on with tampons as it is, so I doubt I'd get on with a Mooncup. I never stick anything in there that I don't enjoy! ;) Good idea though.

@ everyone - Thanks for the sympathy. I'm feeling a bit better today. The cold's still there but I don't feel sick any more, which is good. Just realised I've had no breakfast though, I'll have to get some in a minute. It's weird, normally I'd be starving by now but I'm honestly not hungry. It's not that I don't want food, I just don't feel I need any.

I passed a little garage on the way home so I'll have a walk up there after breakfast, see how much it would be to sort my mirrors. Then if they manage those ok, I'll let them do my MOT. :)

After that, I'll be going on a library book hunt. Oh, and ringing up about that job too. Might do that first actually. Talk to you later.

  • I know, I know, late post today. I slept in, p-ed off Myra (my support worker) again and I have just felt generally rotten all day. On top of the earlier cold, I now have my time of the month. Which means later today I have to work out where to hide a washable menstrual pad while it soaks, as there was a slight hiccup with the nappy bin collection. Basically, the woman lives in a remote little village and with my car not having its mirrors yet (meant to be done today, have been in bed most of the day. :( ), she said she'd get in touch with a guy who's meant to be collecting a liquidiser off her and ask if he can get the nappy bin while he's there and then I collect it off him. However, he's asked her about bus routes so she doesn't think that'll be possible. I've told her I'll try to get the nappy bin next week, as soon as my car's sorted, and if the guy can't get the liquidiser I'll have that too. :D

I've posted one of my Royal Mail surveys letters today and I've got another to do tomorrow. My stamps haven't gone up any further but I've got 6 watchers so I'm hoping for a bidding war on Sun night. I've also done my daily scratch (when do I not? :D ) and found that my b/t has gone through. Yay, horrible high interest card is now a little lower. :j

Also, the woman finally rang me back about the job! :j She took some details from me and said that's the first part of the selection process and when they do interviews, she should hopefully give me a call. So cross your fingers and hope I get it. Now I just have to hear back from the CAB next. And get over this bloody cold!

I think I'll borrow the mop bucket to soak the pad in. What my housemates don't know can't hurt them! :D

    Housework

Do something, anything, towards cleaning my room.
    Clear sideboard of pots.

    General

Pack bag to go see mum on Fri.
Update totals on sig (I fell off the wagon back when I lost my debit card so they're higher now :( )

Those observate people amongst you may be wondering why finding my library book isn't on the list. Basically, I don't have the energy to worry about it today so I'm just hoping it turns up while I tidy my room. If not, then I'll worry about it tomorrow.

The painkillers have kicked in so I'm going to call my mum and arrange Manc on Sat. I'll post back later (if I ever get my energy back).

  • Well, yesterday went well, didn't it?

I've got another letter to post in a minute for Royal Mail surveys and my refund request for internet allowance through my DSA, so that can go at the same time. I'm currently sat next to the mop bucket where my washable menstrual pad is soaking. I think I read somewhere that you have to do them for 2 hours so I'm going to throw it in the washing machine just before I go to uni.

I just did a mystery shop at a bookies down the road. I thought it'd be really nerve-racking but it wasn't. I just said I was placing a bet for my dad, to explain why I didn't know what I was doing, and they were really nice to me. So lets hope Sheff United wins! :D

The garage is going to have to wait until Mon or Tues now. I can't take it now because I've got to go to uni afterwards and I'm going for a drink straight after uni so I can't take my car up there today. I'm quite worried since I haven't moved it in nearly 3 weeks now. I'll have to give it a really long run when I finally get it sorted.

    Housework

    [strike]Wash pad.[/strike] Done.

    Uni

[STRIKE]Placement forms.[/STRIKE] Well, sort of. I've told the tutor what placement I want to do, I think that counts.

    General

    [strike]Post letters.[/strike] Done.

I keep forgetting to have breakfast. That's twice I've done this now. I'd better get some now. Talk later.
  • Oh joy, I've slept in again! Mum's not going to be happy when she spots the text saying I'm going to be late. I'm hoping to get on the 1 o'clock train so lots of rushing about in a min.

Came home from the society meeting earlier last night with stomach cramps, that'll teach me to keep paracetamol in my bag in future. On the plus side, Tasha said that her friend recommends a garage on Lower Bristol Road, ironically the one I've been to! :rotfl:

Need to borrow Siobhan's camera, mystery shopping on Sun. And I get to meet you nutters tomorrow! :D It's meant to be weather permitting but I'm going to try to get mum to pay me back for it today. That way, she'll be more likely to go because she's already paid for it. See, told you she's a natural Moneysaver. :D (More like her fella's a tight!!!e, but that's another story).

Anyway, I need to start rushing around soon. I've got a mobile broadband thingie so I might be able to update tonight but if not, see you tomorrow. And if you're not there, I'll talk to you soon.

Nice short list for today. :D Talk soon.

  • I'm not sure if I'm using my mobile broadband or nicking the neighbour's internet. Either way, I have a signal.

I landed in Warrington late on Fri, had a lovely evening. I went to the Manchester meet, but I don't think anyone else did. :D I waited in the pub for over 2 hours and either no one showed up or I didn't spot them. Oh well, maybe next time.

Have to be quick before my mum gets off the phone.

    General

If I can get back on tonight, I'll post then. If not, talk to you when I can.
