    Still only at £2......I used to buy Diet Coke on a daily basis until last week I realised I was spending about £240 a year on it! So have given up to save money and help pay off the credit cards.

    As a result, I haven't been spending anything so haven't had any change!! At this rate I'm going to have to start doing swapsies with people!!! :D:D:D

    It's very addictive this £2 club!
  • I have another 2, hubby got one in his change which i made him put in the tin lol, and i found one in a crystal bowl in my display cabinet, no idea how it got there but its in the tin as well. £8 now.

    I have just acquired a nice piggybank to put my £2 coins in :) it's such a good idea! I'm saving up for a digital slr camera to use when i go on holidays to australia in november.

    do you think theres a danger though with all of us saving £2 coins that we might be taking too many out of circulation and reducing our chances of getting them! (perhaps this has already been mentioned, i haven't had time to read all 57 pages of this thread!!) i think what i might do is stack them up next to the piggybank then when i have 5, swap them for a tenner and put the tenner in the piggybank.
  • I'll say this is addictive!

    I bought one from a friend last night but I still owe her a £1!

    Hello, my name's Callisto and I'm a £2 coin-aholic! Have begged, swapped and cajoled £2 coins from various family members and shop staff. If I get a coin while I'm out, I'm then desperate to get home so I can update my sig! :o

    Have got another two today, so I'm happy for now, but will be looking for one more in the next few days to get me up to £30...

    Keep going everyone, we WILL raise enough to make our wishes come true! :T

    A few years ago I quit smoking and started a little stash of coins which I would have used to buy ciggies - Well last weekend I started to count it all (been meaning to do it for agesssss,lost loads in interest) and have just been down to the bank with the proceeds. Lloyds were very good about it too !!

    £1 = £1870.00
    £2 = £640.00
    50p = £630.00

    :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

    This weekend it'll be the 20's 10's 5's !!!!!!! Wonder what I can bank next week ?

    Well, the second count has been done and the 20's 10's 5's amounted to the sum of £878 :-

    20p = £490
    10p = £190
    5p = £198

    together with the earlier £3140 makes a grand total which would have gone up in smoke - £4018 !!!!!

    Not looking forward to the next count - 2's and 1's !!!!!!!!!

    Good Luck Saving
