  • Hooray - only 1 more to go to get into 2 figures - daughter has just 'sold' me another for 2x£1. I think I will stick it in my savings account when I get to £20 - don't want to miss out on all that interest - mind you, I wonder if that will affect my motivation? Perhaps I need to see my little stash growing...
Weight loss - here we go again - watch this space!

    US...........And them............
  • Finally made it into double figures.

Not sure wether to stash it or save it.

    any recommendations?

I bank mine every time I reach £100 worth, since it's a nice round figure :)
    :j The £2 CSC = £48 in carton

  • A few years ago I saved nearly £400 in £2.00 coins, I used them to pay for a holiday to scotland! As I saved them when I got them it didn't really feel like saving and I didn't feel any stretch in my finances. So get saving, they mount up really quick and go a long way! ( about 300 miles in my case)
  • My dad tried to help me save and every now and again He would come up and say here are another few £2.00 coins - it took me a while to realise he was taking them from my £2.00 money box!
  • I'm really enjoying being a member of the club, and saving my £2's, but I'm beginning to wonder whether I should be a member of the club or not..

My problem is that there is this lovely spreadsheet showing how much we've all saved, and I can see that it's really satisfying to see how much the club as a whole has saved. BUT what I want to do is to put all my £2's in a pot and forget about them - if I know how much is in the pot, it will tempt me to spend it and I'll know it's there! ;) - what I really want is a nice surprise when I open the pot after a year or so and find several hundred pounds.

Is it OK to stay in the club but not post or count how much I've saved?
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • I've found another good container for £2 coins for people who don't have a piggy or old style camera-film cannisters. It's Lidl's heb/spice jars (the neck is too small on Knorrs & Lidl's are cheaper in the first place!).

I can paint lines on it to see how much is in there - ha! Better than £24.99 for a coin sorter!
Debt at highest: £68,000 plus mortgages
    Current debt: £0.00!!!:D
Now I just have to buy my Dad's share of my flat back and I can start on the mortgage...

    Hello Jobbinmusician,
Please don’t leave the £2 Coin Savers Club….pretty please… :D Just change your Signature to £0.0 and add something like “Keeping amount saved a surprise”. I will enter this in the Savings Chart. Two other members are in a similar situation in that they have Terramundis with unknown amounts in them but each weighs several Lbs – phew!
