I have the grand total of £4.00 and i only started on Monday :)
I am looking for a terramundi to keep them in. any suggestions as to the best place to get 1 from?
I'm in the £2.00 club! terramundi cracked open Christmas Day £748 :p Started a new one Boxing Day!
  • Last year I saved £600 in a Teramundi pot of £2 coins. It was such a lovely surprise when I broke it open. As the pot cost £18 I very carefully drilled a hole in it so that I can use it again this year.

Not had many coins though so far - probably because everyone has got them stashed in their piggys!!!

If you sign up to https://www.prezzybox.com you will get an introductory £5 voucher. They have a selection of designs and the voucher should make it cheaper than https://www.terramundi.co.uk. This one, though, has so many more designs. Enjoy :)

  • I'm toying with the idea of a terramundi - but i'll have to spend more than my savings to buy one. Gotta find something in the house for free that the kids will think is cool enough to use.

Good news - 2 more coins this morning - £12.

In all seriousness, I wonder if it could be found out approx how many £2 coins are in circulation?

We must have around 1000-1500 coins in our savings already. Now, I know thats not alot but could it be possible to create a proper shortage? If so, I think it would be fun for everyone to bank them in a savings account on the same day creating a surplus. Cos, although this is a good idea for saving, you arent gaining interest whilst they are sat in a piggybank!

I wanted a terramundi pot too but was put off by the price.

So, tonight in true Moneysaving/Blue Peter style me and my son are going to blow up a balloon, mix some flour and water, rip up newspapers and make our own! :D
