We got married in Alaska in 2004. Before we went, we raided my African ceramics saving pot in which we had been saving £2 coins. We had saved nearly £300! This covered our spending money for the trip. Since then we have started saving again towards our next big holiday abroad, and already the pot is filling. Once it is full we are going to transfer the money to a high interest account and re-fill the pot so that we've got lots of luverly dosh for when we are ready to take our next big adventure!0

I've bought myself a 'smash it when its full' money box
Everytime I get a £2 coin it goes in the pot - unless I get more than 2 at time (got 4 in change from a tenner once!). Have no idea how much is in there.
I'm saving for my 40th birthday.

And i've decided what i'm saving for... ME!!!, i've been dieting, lost 21lbs so far and just gone through my wardrobe and sent all the too big clothes to the charity shop. Which hasn't left me with much, I plan on a clothes spending spree once i hit my target weight which is about 2stone away
Silverbirch, that's a great idea! I've also been losing weight, not as much as you just yet, and wondering how I would pay for some new clothes. I think its a fab idea to treat ourselves or our families with the savings. I think I will keep saving mine and decide later exactly what they are for. Got a while to go yet though, only £4 so far!!!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now...
