Got a couple more on Friday
Swapped one with Dad (he thinks I'm mad) and then the nice lady in Co-op gave me another one while I was trying to explain to Dad to always tell me when he gets one :rotfl:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

I get really mad when i have to spend them coz i've got no other change..... i've even started swapping my smaller coins for £2 ones when my oh turns out his pockets at night....
although one car park in blackpool says that it doesn't accept them & this was all i had so put it in on the off chance and it gave me 24hrs parking (normally £1/hr) bonus...... (totally random comment! Sorry)0 -
Hi all - I went shopping today (I don't do it very often so it's quite an event!) and managed to get THREE coins, but then I had to put one into the car park machine so that I could get out!

Well, please change my total amount to £0.
I must have had a good £200 and my BIL stole it.
He took the keys that the in-laws keep spare and let himself in, stealing the tin. B'stward.
The police have told us that as he had keys we have to prove that a) we did not let him in or give him the keys and he entered when we were not there and b) fingerprinting would be no use as he is a relative and we have to prove that he does not come over regularly thus leaving his fingerprints everywhere anyway.
So. My lovely hubby (his older bother) went round and broke his nose instead. Doesn't get my money back but makes me feel a little better.
I feel too down to start again. B'stward.0 -

charlotte664, I can't believe your BIL - what a rat!!! Don't know what to say, really - what rubbish from the police (how can you prove what they ask for?!). Glad your hubby went round to "speak";) to him instead, but sad that it comes to this within a family (as I am sure your hubby is too...what a bloomin' nightmare!!). Please start again, and keep posting and counting - don't let this BIL kill your spirit completely, although I have to admit I would be in the line up to shoot him...!!!
On a different note, I have gained 4 x £2 in the last few days, so am growing the pot slowly, but surely!:D
