new to all this and have been putting copper coins away since last year for the kids, just banked £79.00 in coppers this week. seem to get loads of £2 coins each month -time to start saving them, thanks to all for inspiration to get my debt sorted.

Hi Mike - welcome to the forum. It's surprising how quickly loose change mounts up isn't it. My poor long suffering DH hates carrying change in his pockets and usually stores it in his drawer, but then I come along and relieve him of it and put it towards the holiday fund! <weg> I've also got him enrolled in collecting £2 coins, and he even feels guilty if he is forced to spend one!
