kathfisch wrote:Oooh.. there are so many nice ones. The temptation is too much! I bought my mum one of these a year ago and its getting quite heavy now. Don't know if I can justify that money though, I have a perfectly good piggy bank in the shape of a VW camper van (as I have already mentioned in this thread, apologies!). Maybe I will wait and ask for one as a present (but have just had christmas and my brithday is today so will have to wait a while... ). Will have a think  and see if I can fit it into my budgets anywhere. Will have to make a new category - "completely non-essential but I really want it!". But think how many £2 coins I would have to collect just to pay for it (10 to be exact), and I'm not doing too well yet :rotfl:
*sneaks away to continue internal dilema in private*
I think these make fabulous presents, I bought two last year, one for a friends 40th and one for some friends 25th Wedding Anniversary. I started them both of with a £2 coin and put in a note to explain what I had done. They were thrilled because they are a bit of a different pressie.
My Terramundi is bright orange because that was the colour I was planning to have in my new kitchen (we were still waiting at that point for our new house be finished). However, kitchen ended up being lilac. Aah Well!£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.
Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz0 -
I am going to have to stop counting!!!!
I have one of those tins that needs a tine opener (the £500 one) but if I count them as I put them in (£8 in total!!!!) then I just KNOW I will take them out.
Its going to be a barely managed month next month as it is - If I get too many in there this month I know I will have to open it up and take it out to spend!
But I will jangle it regularly and post on here the noise level!!!! Currently it sounds a bit hollow!0 -
I've just bought a £500 tin
Once it's full i'm clearing a debt with it

Thinking about buying one from ebay - they do fit £2 coins in then? They all seem to say they are for £1 coins.

Yes you can fit £2 coins in some, but you have to read the description in full to check or ask the seller.0 -

I returned my dd's mag to the newsagent today as they had already given me the same copy, and I was keeping my fingers crossed they DIDN'T give me the change in a £2 coin, because I needed to buy some stamps!
New week starts tomorrow, so I may be able to add to my grand total of one!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
I went to the shop to get a sandwhich for dinner (don't shoot me) and in the change I got 2! but son has kindly robbed me of 1 as it was the only change in my purse, so instead of being £5.00 down I gave him a coin! but I'm on £6.00 now..............Panda xx
