Can I join too please :D I already collect 1p,2p,5p,10p & 20p in the 2foot coke money box we have, when thats full we promised to take the children camping, (could take some time) but I'd love to join the £2 club aswell & I'll use my eeyore money box. I'll have to set a target for what the money can be used for when its full. After searching my purse I dont have anything to start it with yet, but I'll put all future ones I receive aside.

    hugs

I was going to buy a money box but then my hubby took a large glass jar that had pickled eggs in it and he cut a hole in the lid and glued the top on it, so i have to smash it to get my money.

Last summer i had £400 in it and it was still not half full.
I was going to write in with that idea glad you beat me to it. As MSE should we be buying terrimundis or the such like I think it weaken the idea. I use a very large ginger jar which I brought from a charity shop just befor Christmas as I have alway saved my £2.00. By the way I have exactly £100. saved so far

  • I got a pickled onion jar from Netto so i enjoyed the onions, washed it up, MR HQ cut a slot in the lid then we sealed it up with electrical tape and signed it!!
However for the £2 coins if you think that in last 12 months i earnt nearly £38 on mine in interest its worth putting them in an account regulalry, the onion pot is for loose change.

i dont think it matters what you save the money in, its the saving it that counts. personally i liked the idea of a terramundi. after all its a beautiful piece of pottery, which once opened can be used to hold a plant or candle, so a multitasking item appealed to me. plus ive just had my kitchen redecorated and i chose one which looks lovely pride of place on my pine dresser and matches the rest of the kitchen.

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
