    I'm really pleased with myself!!

£100 in just over a month!!

If this had been in my purse I would have spent it!! But once it's in the money tin my brain tells me I've spent it anyway!! This has been a painless way of saving & cutting down on my impulse buying.

Thanks for the encouragement folks, and a special thanks to greenfingers for the original idea!!

Well, my haul is at £42 now, and I'm quite pleased, because I don't use cash all that much.

  • This money saving is really spiralling. Since I became a member of MSE I've bagged all the copper and 5ps that I've been putting away in a jar since I don't know when and I'm off to the bank later to deposit 16.00 - every little helps - :T . Whilst on the search for loose change to put in the jar i found a 2.00 coin, taking my total to 36.00, time to update signature. I never thought saving would be so much fun. Cheers everyone for the fantastic support you all offer.
